Today my post is about the products, videos and makeup looks that caught my attention this week.
For the last several days I have been browsing US beauty websites like a mad woman to figure out what products I need/want to get as my friend kindly agreed to get me some.
I am not going to post my whole wish list or everything that caught my attention but here is the new Cle de Peau Vintage Holiday Palette which some of you may like. But as it is CdP the price is not cheap – $125.
It’s a makeup from Gucci by Pat McGrath. And of course, I am waiting for Dior show…
I have so many news to share and so many reviews in my drafts… There is also a Fall magazine coming soon… But today I want to tell you about the new launches from Dior.

I am very happy to show you my absolutely favourite holiday 2011 makeup collection, the gorgeous tuxedo inspired collection by YSL.
This is what Yves Saint Laurent himself once said: “ If I were to keep just one item of clothes, it would be the tuxedo…” I have to admit that YSL (women’s) tuxedo is a dream of mine, I hope to get it one day.
No wonder that Lloyd Simmonds was inspired by tuxedo and created this stunning collection. This is what he says about it:
“Black is a color. Without black there is no line. At Yves Saint Laurent, black is rebel, potent, yet all so elegant. It is alive, it is the supreme emotion. Its force comes from the interior. It is light itself.”
Palette Blanc Terriblement, £39.00/ €53.00
The white tuxedo. The complexion illuminator palette. Shimmering silver, shimmering pink, shimmering violet. Three white hues delicately lit up with precious pearls, catching the light like a magnet to give an absolute glow effect.
Palette Noir Terriblement, £39.00/ €53.00
Black velvet, black silk, black moiré, black lamé, white satin.
Inspired by the tuxedo, the Noir Terriblement and the Blanc Terriblement palettes both celebrate the emblematic spirit of evening clothes that moves effortlessly throughout time. Nestling inside a beautiful gold case, adorned by a pleated belt and embroidered with the Yves Saint Laurent logo. It can be worn around the wrist like a bracelet, a nocturnal fetish.
Ombres Duolumières, £28.00/ €40.00
- N° 39 Gold Lamé/Velvet Black
- N° 41 Silver Moiré/Black Flannel
I love a nice gift with purchase (GWP) and who doesn’t?! So I had to share about this absolutely amazing one! Spend £90 (now that’s easy) and more and get this awesome set at Liberty London.
Now this is a truly great set, there are very few like this one these days.
I was very excited when I’ve spotted this Bobbi Brown 20th Anniversary Lip Palette.
There are twenty lipsticks which include “10 original Lip Colors launched by Bobbi in 1991-plus 10 bright, ultra modern options.”
But it’s still a nice product to get if you like the variety of colours. I just really wish I could see it for myself before purchasing. I wonder how intense the colours are and have some other questions…
The price is $60 at BB website and luckily I’ve also found it at the UK QVC for £43. This means that one shade retails for £2.15/$3. The size is 4.25 in x 2.11 in x .809.
So what do you think? How often to you buy makeup without even seeing it?
