5 Weekdays – 5 Lipsticks
My personal lipstick drawer is getting out of control. But I keep using the same products over, and over again. So last week I’ve decided to plan my “weekday lipstick wardrobe” in advance. Here are the five products I’ve chosen:
BECCA Ultimate Matte Lip Colour in Eloise (review and lip swatches)
This is the lightest shade of all and the only matte formula from the selection. Eloise is a beautiful baby pink that suits any look, just make sure that your lips are in a great condition, as otherwise it may enhance the dry patches.
Rouge Bunny Rouge Sheer Lipstick Succulence of Dew in Murmurings (review and swatches)
I have been loving this lipstick recently, it feels extremely comfortable on the lips, hydrating and moisturizing. Plus it gives a stunning berry tint, for the days when you are not in the mood for a high-maintenance dark lip product, but still want to make a statement.
Clarins Joli Rouge Lipstick in 738 Royal Plum (review and lip swatches)
“Royal” fits this one perfectly. This is the lipstick to choose when you want a full-on berry drama. Royal Plum has to be in the centre of attention, so don’t overload your face with other products. It’s a killer shade, I definitely recommend, my friend bought the same one, and always tells me how much she loves it.
Ellis Faas Creamy Lips L101 Ellis Red (review and swatches)
Ellis Red probably doesn’t need an introduction. It is a cult product, and a must have, if you love red and love lipstick – you have to have it. Texture, shade, staying power, even the design – everything is amazing. In fact, I saw my Mum the other day wearing this lipstick – she told me that she just had to comment on how beautiful my makeup was. That was the first time she ever said anything like that!
Hourglass Femme Rouge Lipstick in Fresco (review and swatches)
This is a classic and chic everyday rosy shade that is office appropriate but also won’t look boring on an evening out. The formula is amazing and feels comfortable on the lips.
Actually I quite liked writing this feature, I will probably write a similar one soon x
