The other day I was going through my drafts for Makeup4all, and I was shocked that some of them are from 2009…And the one that caught my attention was this round-up of Clarins cleansers (you can read more details by clicking the “review” links).
Back in 2014 I have posted part I of toners suitable for my skin type (dry and sensitive), and promised to share about the cleansers. So it is better late than never, right?
Here we go:
Pure Melt Cleansing Gel (review)
This is probably my favourite cleanser from Clarins, it smalls amazing, works great for massaging the face and turns into milk after you mix it with water.
Daily Energizer Cleansing Gel (review)
I wanted to get a new cleansing milk/toner for the times when I don’t have time to do a “proper” cleanse, so realized that I never got around trying Clarins One-Step Facial Cleanser with Orange Extract.
So, off to the Clarins counter I went. For some reason, the sales assistant (and she is a very lovely girl, and knows me by now, of course) couldn’t understand which product I was talking about, and showed me all the different cleansers.
Why am I telling you that?
- a) the girl told me that I know Clarins products better than she does. Not gonna lie, that was a lot coming from her.
- b) I have realized that I have tried all the cleansers & toners she showed me, so it’d probably be a good thing to make a Clarins toners/cleansers guide. What do you think?
But back to the cleanser itself. It is so good!
Pretty much all Clarins products I’ve tried are brilliant, and this one is not an exception. The cleanser
I really wanted a cleansing product that I could use as a part of my morning routine, when I am in a hurry and don’t have time (and don’t want/need) to wash my face with a a balm and lot of “massage action”. So Clarins Water Comfort One-Step Cleanser with Peach Essential Water seemed like a perfect one.
I have picked it up several weeks ago and am very happy that I did!
It smells absolutely amazing (of peaches), is gentle and leaves my skin skin feeling clean and fresh, without drying it out or irritating.. In fact, the skin does feel soft and smooth afterwards.
This is just a perfect product for my morning routine, but I wouldn’t
Today I want to tell you about the Clarins One Step Gentle Exfoliating Cleanser which was the part of this set that I’ve bought for myself as a post-holidays treat.
Since it’s a part of the Clarins’ girls top 5 products, I had high expectations and it did not disappoint.
It is basically a face wash and scrub two-in-one which means that you do your cleansing in only one step, as the name suggests.
I find that it does a great job: removes all traces of makeup and cleanses the skin really well, without drying it out ( I have very dry skin and I could not believe that I did not have that ”tight” feeling afterwards). Although, I usually prefer enzyme peels over scrubs, this one is rather gentle. I’d say it’s spot on, not too “scrubby” but just good enough to exfoliate the skin.
I also like the lovely orange scent, which is a nice touch; this is especially awesome in the
I know that a lot of readers come to Makeup4all for all things Clarins, so here, as promised, is my guide to Clarins toners. I did a detailed review about each product, so this post will be a brief summery, you can read all the details by clicking the links.
Before we start, I’d like to mention that I have very dry and sensitive skin, and my age group is 26-30.
One-Step Facial Cleanser with Orange Extract (review)
Such an amazing orange scented product which gently cleanses the skin, leaves is super smooth, soft and glowing. A must have here. Will re-purchase in the future. Can I say once again that I love it?!
Clarins Water Comfort One-Step Cleanser with Peach Essential Water (review)
This is a nice product which
