Here is, as promised, the second part of my Favourite Beauty Products of 2014 features.
This time it’s all about the eyes & lips. Enjoy, and don’t forget to share yours.
Eye Shadows Platte – theBalm Shady Lady Vol 2 (review)
I have re-discovered this beauty in summer, and this was the palette I travelled with most of the times, amazing formulas, great colour selection, thin packaging and great mirror – what else do you need? theBalm eye shadows are among the best.
Mascara – Clarins Be Long (review)
I’ve managed to get lush looking lashes with Be Long, it separates perfectly, is never clumpy, and gives a nice , rather dramatic effect, if you use several coats. The brush, for me, is mess-free. I have recommended it to several friends, and they loved it, too.
Cream Eye Shadow – Max Factor Excess Shimmer Eye Shadows (review)
Definitely one of the coolest eye shadows I’ve discovered in ages. Mousse-like texture that allows you to get a sheer hint of shimmer, or layer it on for a more intense look. It is stunning both ways!
Eye Shadows – Rouge Bunny Rouge Eye Shadow in Solstice Halcyon (review)
This is definitely the eye shadows that I have been loving the most in 2014, beautiful smooth formula, blendable texture and the most gorgeous “semi-matte mauve beige” shade. I am in love. No wonder, it’s a best-seller.
Liquid Liner – Rouge Bunny Rouge Raven Glaze Lacquer Liner (review)
Another product from the brand that I have been using non-stop for years now. It is my eye liner of choice, glossy ultra black that is easy to use and control. Killer cat eyes in seconds!
Eye Pencil – Le Crayon Khol by Lancome (review)
This pencil probably doesn’t even need an introduction, I think, I talk about it whenever I can. I’d go as far, as saying that if I could only keep one makeup product – this would probably be this. Soft texture, spot-on dark brown shade, it blends out easily and creates a more defined look.
Eye Brow Product – ShavataDouble Ended Eyebrow Pencil (review)
I have tried quite a few new eye brow products in 2014, but this pencil was probably my favourite, it is thin so allows you filling in the brows in the most natural way, soft enough but not smudgy. The cool-toned ash shade works perfectly for a lot of brows, too. Plus there is also an option for blones on the other end, don’t forget the affordable price.
Tom Ford Lip Color in Bruised Plum (review)
I have realized that whenever I had an important event or something special – I always reached for Bruised Plum. I’ve got it for my Birthday, and it was a perfect choice. Everyone needs at least one Tom Ford lipstick, really.
Givenchy Le Rouge Lipstick in 302 Hibiscus Exclusive (review)
This is my pick-me-up shade, a beautiful muted neon pink which instantly brightens the whole look. I don’t think I could love the formula or the packaging more. It is the lipstick of my dreams.
Daniel Sandler Cosmetics Luxury Matte Lipstick in Red Carpet (review)
Red Carpet was the red of the year, show-stopping matte opaque shade; the price won’t break the bank. Well done, Daniel!
L’Oréal Paris Color Riche Extraordinaire in 100 Mezzo Pink (review and lip swatches)
This was probably my favourite lipstick of 2014, moisturizing formula which feels great on the lips, gorgeous sparkling baby pink shade, comfortable applicator and pleasant scent. It couldn’t be any better!
Ok, I know this is cheating because I have two shades but I love them both equally. Dark red 08 and dusky rose 80, they glide-on like a dream, despite the matte long -lasting formula. Can be used on their own all over the lips, or to cheat a fuller lip, with lipstick or gloss on top.
