Burberry Complete Eye Palette in Pink Taupe Review and Swatches
Here it is, as promised, the review of Burberry’s Complete Eye Palette.
As you may know, there are six colour combinations to choose from and each retails for £40/$59.
Here is how the palette looks like, I love the signature Burberry print.
It comes in a velvet pouch with three mini tools: sponge, blending brush and liner brush. I haven’t really used them but they may be very handy for when you are travelling or touching up your makeup.
My palette is called Pink Taupe and, in my opinion, these are the most original and unique colours out of all. I actually don’t think I have a dupe for some of the shades.
And you get:
- Warm peachy shade, satin finish
- khaki shade, satin finish
- Cool toned dusty pink, matte finish
- Rich brown, matte finish
These are some of the best eye shadows I have ever used: they are silky smooth, rich and pigmented, have a beautiful colour pay-off and easy to blend. Satin eye shadows don’t look too metallic and matte eye shadows are not chalky at all. Plus they don’t fall out, don’t fade or crease during the day.
I think that at this point I’ve tried pretty much all the makeup looks with this pallet I could think of.
Surprisingly enough I am totally in love with the pinkish shade and I wear it a lot. My favourite way to use it – apply all over the lid with a very thin line of brown pencil just in the roots of the lashes with lots of mascara. It also looks beautiful with the brown shade in the outer corner.
Here are the swatches in the day light and with the flash.
I would definitely recommend these eye shadows. If you want something more “classic” you can get a palette with black and white shades or browns.
