Dark Lips. Get The Look: Chanel Autumn 2020 and Alternative Products

Long time readers will know that I am a huge fan of a dark lip, so I am obviously loving the beauty look from the latest Chanel show. Lucia Pica kept the face and eye makeup minimal to make it look fresh and modern.

On the lips she used the new products which will be a part of the Autumn collection (out in July), and, no doubt, will be a big hit: ROUGE ALLURE VELVET EXTRÊME in N°130 Rouge Obscur  and ROUGE COCO GLOSS in N°816 Laque Noire.

Other products used for the look were:

butter LONDON Jelly Collection for Summer 2010

This week I got the information about Spring/Summer 2010 Jelly collection by butter LONDON. Probably most of you already know this information and alredy bought those nail polishes but still let’s take a look at the collection.

Introducing Jelly by butter LONDON – an utterly unique approach to nails for Spring/Summer 2010! Soft hints of colour, which can be adjusted to compliment the diverse trends on the runway. For this season we saw ethereal fabrics and nude color, high impact sparkle, body conscious silhouettes, even flashes of striking colours such as red on the catwalk. butter LONDON wanted to reflect all these strong trends with this new collection.

So why these shades? “At first the Spring/Summer collections for 2010 left me baffled!” explains Nonie Creme, Founding Creative Director and product creator for butter LONDON. “How would I create nail shades for such a polarized season? There was a big divide between intense colour and total nudity in terms of catwalk makeup  and nails. The challenge was to find a middle ground that suited both directions.”

Juicy, sheer colour that looks and feels like slick, wet “lipgloss” for your nails. These are designed to be layered, so you can wear just one coat for a hint/blush of colour and healthy glow, or two for better coverage of little nail problems and more colour, or three for juicy, barely sheer summer colours that are good enough to eat. They are also stunning when mixed and matched over one another! So many options in three bottles!

As always, the “3 Free” butter LONDON formulation offers a safer alternative to chemicals you are exposed to by other nail products. We believe in colour, not carcinogens.

Three NEW Jelly Colours:

CHUFFED – A cool cantaloupe that becomes more of an iced tangerine with each coat.

Definition: Pleased and delighted

STROPPY – A pale grape Jelly that becomes

Makeup Products That You Need For Summer: Reviews and Swatches

Hi girls!

Summer is here and I hope those of you who love summer enjoy it. I am not really a fan of summer because most of all I hate the heat!

Here are some products* that I’ve tried and that I think work great for summer.

Be sure that your makeup is waterproof so you don’t end up looking like this 😉

Face

Add a sun-kissed glow to your face with Too Faced bronzers.

My favourite cream blush, true coral shade by Illamasqua, works perfect in summer heat.

Eyes

Want to create bright vibrant eye makeup for summer? Everything is possible with Inglot shadows.

Be sure to use cream eye shadows that don’t smudge or crease, something like Benefit’s crealseless cream eye shadows.

If you are going to the pool and to the beach and like to use makeup – use only waterproof products, something like

Makeup Trend: Eye Gloss

I have always been a fan of glossy eye lids, and it is kinda cool to see that  it is a big trend now.  Here is a look I have created with the Rouge Bunny Rouge eye gloss back in 2012.  If you haven’t tried the glossy eye lid look, definitely do, it is so effortless, fun and sexy. Sounds like such a cliche thing which is said about every “trend”, but in this case it really is all of that.

You can always get the RBR or MAC eye glosses. Or try the new options. And now it is very easy to get the one you like, considering that even such brands as Bobbi Brown and YSL now have them.

Bobbi Brown just launched three  shades (£19.50 from Harvey Nichols and $28 from Barneys), and they will be a huge hit, for sure. You can choose from Beach Nude, Island Pink and Nude.  YSL offer just a clear option Yves Saint Laurent Eye Gloss Smudger ($30 from Nordstrom).

But if you want a colourful eye gloss, and from a more niche brand, I’ve got you covered, too. Here are three options for your consideration.
