There are a lot of new blushers out for Spring 2017, and I even posted a preview of some of the coolest palettes. But here is a preview of the creme de la creme of the blush launches, the most luxurious and high-end ones.
“An illuminating face powder that creates a soft glow with a hint of colour. It combines subtle rosy colour and illuminating pearls, the soft-as-silk powder creates a glowing, flushed effect on your cheeks.” the pattern of the blush is inspired by the antique wallpaper sourced from London’s Victoria and Albert Museum.
“A luxuriously moisturizing cream blush with Argan Oil that
As promised, here is a feature about my favourite makeup of 2018. It was supposed to be makeup and beauty but I am already almost on 1200 words so had to divide the feature into 2 parts. I’ve chosen the products that I love and used the most hence some of them may look a bit grubby but it does show that they are true favourites.
Rouge Bunny Rouge SERENE LIGHT Skin Perfector (here). This is a slightly tinted primer which leaves your skin glowing and luminous. For my very dry skin it is perfect. It is a primer so barely gives any coverage but is great for adding radiance and creating that “healthy” polished look. I have used it on my wedding day, and used it up completely. Absolutely incredible! Gets big thumbs up from me.
The “foundation” I loved the most this year. A very light and moisturising one, feels light on the skin, and gives a light (to medium) coverage. According to Chanel, it contains a hyaluronic acid derivative and a complex of cotton flower and white rose plant cells. It has a relatively strong scent but I personally like it. Another thing I love about it is a chic and minimalistic tube. And SPF 15, of course.
IT Cosmetics Bye Bye Under Eye Eye Lift In a Tube. Dual Ended Full Coverage Anti-Aging Concealer and Brightener (in Light). I am not sure if the name of this product could be even longer. (From Selfridges and Sephora)
Long time readers will know how I like only very light textures under my eyes hence I am such a fan of Touche Eclat (I’ve used many many tubes) and this Rouge Bunny Rouge gem. The same goes with this product, I did not use the concealer side at all. However, the Illuminator is incredible, I have almost used it up. It does not enhance the fine lines, while reflecting the light which brightens the under eye area. Just don’t expect it to cover the dark circles completely, it is not the task of this product. I wonder if this Illuminator is available individually. It seems like there is one with the same name ( It Cosmetics Bye Bye Under Eye Illumination Light).
4 theBalm Balm Desert (review).
I feel like the next two products do not need an introduction, as I’ve been talking about them non stop. I am determined to use this bronzer/blush until I am completely done with it. It sculpts and gives colour at the same time. You get definition and a healthy glow with Balm Desert. I also love the finish, it is not matte but not shimmery. Everything about it is great, including the cute cardboard packaging.
5 Daniel Sandler Watercolour in Golden Glow (review).
It’s like a healthy post-holiday glow in a bottle. A shimmery bronze which
I have to say that I am seriously in love with the new Chantecaille Spring 2015 collection. I like everything Nordic inspired, and this Glacier palette and two glosses look phenomenal.
The Glacier Eye Shade Trio $70/£62
- Polar Light (delicate light taupe with a matte finish)
- Iceberg (icy white shade with light reflecting gold pearl)
- Arctic Dusk (warm lilac gray)
5% of proceeds from each Glacier Eye Shade Trio sold will be proudly donated to the Extreme Ice Survey, an innovative photography project aimed at educating global citizens about the impact of climate change on the world.
Galactic Lip Shine Healing Lip Gloss $34/£27
It is a hybrid of a balm and a a gloss.
- Polaris, it reminds me of my beloved discontinued KissKiss Guerlain gloss.
As for byTerry there are new
Here is a preview of some really cool new blushers which were launched for SS17, and I have chosen quite a good selection: middle-priced cushion blushes, luxury Gucci blush with a ladybug, and two kinds of palettes.
I am personally very interested in ArtDeco Cushion Blusher, €19.95 from Douglas, and will definitely be checking out the bronzy shade in person. These are promised to have a silky smooth texture and a soft shimmering effect. Without parabens, perfume and talc. The shades are: 2 – paradise parrot, 4 – tropican tucan (not shown) and 6 – bamboo bronze.
Benefit Cosmetics Cheek Parade, $58 from Sephora
The brand is famous for their cheek palettes, and this time the combo is: 0.17 oz/ 5 g GALifornia (sunny golden pink blush), 0.28 oz/ 8 g Hoola matte bronzer (matte natural bronzer), 0.28 oz/ 8 g Hoola lite matte bronzer (matte natural light bronzer), 0.17 oz/ 5 g Rockateur (rose gold blush), 0.25 oz/ 7 g Dandelion (brightening baby pink blush) and Mini Powder Brush.
Gucci Sheer Blushing Powder Ladybug Compact, LE ($53) from Saks
Besides the pretty pastel and girly balm-like lipsticks which are always out for Spring, I have notice one more trend, and that is lacquers. I have chosen 5 different brands just to give you a taste of what is new, lip wise, for SS19.
I am a huge fan of Clarins lip products so would expect Rouge Lacquer to be incredible. The brand promise wet like vinyl finish, hydration and nourishment and easy application, among other things. There are 7 shades to choose from. Shown above is 744 Plum.
Full coverage, highly pigmented, soft matte formula which should be comfortable and long-lasting on the lips. If you want to treat yourself – this is the way to go. There are 10 shades to choose from; shown is
