Clarins Extra-Comfort Toning Lotion for Dry and Sensitive Skin Review. Rave

I have already tried two Clarins toners, their famous Toning Lotion with Camomile for Dry and Normal and Daily Energizer Wake-Up Booster and today I want to tell you about their  Extra-Comfort Toning Lotion for Dry and Sensitive Skin which I’ve picked up several weeks ago.

And, oh my goodness, this is the best toner I have ever used! It is not even a toner but  a toning lotion, as the brand describes it.

It is very gentle, soothing and refreshing at the same time. I use it after  my Extra-Comfort Cleansing Cream (review later) and love how my skin feels afterwards.  This tonic lotion is also calming and

Clarins Joli Rouge Brilliant Perfect Shine Sheer Lipstick in Watermelon Review and Lip Swatches

I have recently written about the Clarins’ gloss in Water Lily from the Spring collection  and today I want to tell you about the lipstick from the same collection.

It is Joli Rouge Brilliant Perfect Shine Sheer Lipstick  in Watermelon and it’s the lighter one out of two.

As the name suggests, this lipstick gives a sheer  and shiny coverage.  Although it is sheer, you still get a pop of pink which would look great with a fresh Spring makeup. Or will help to brighten up the dull winter face 😉

This lipstick contains a lot of silver micro shimmer particles but it doesn’t look over the top on the lips, in fact, it does give a shiny and glossy effect.

It is  not a

Clarins Instant Light Eye Perfecting Base Review

Never underestimate the power of a good base! Today I want to show you a really great one – Instant Light Eye Perfecting by Clarins.

Why do I like it?

Clarins Instant Light Eye Perfecting Base Review

As the name suggests, it instantly evens out the eye lids. And I truly appreciated the effect when I was doing the makeup on a  client who had really a lot  of blue veins showing through. This products created a perfect canvas to begin the work with.

The formula smooths the skin, and makes the eye shadows stick to it better. Just make sure that you apply a thin layer and spread it out evenly. That makes the eye shadows last a lot longer without

April 2013 Beauty Wish List: Makeup, Skincare and Hair Care

Believe it or not, but it actually took me hours and hours to complete this list, as I had to think carefully about what products I really want or what products I actually need.

This is not really a wish list, but more of a shopping list of the products that I plan to buy in the near future. Of course, I could add more, but I’ve decided to be very strict with myself so every item got on the list after a lot of consideration and is very covetable…

So here  is the list!

Makeup

1. Hourglass Arch Brow Sculpting Pencil in Soft Brunette, £26

I have almost finished my Benefit eye pencil and I am definitely getting an Hourglass one next.

2. Matte Eye Shadows Palette

I can’t decide if I should get the Too Faced Matte Eye Shadow Collection (£24.57 from Beauty Bay) or theBalm Meet Matte ($42 from the brand’s website, but they are in the process of creating a European shop, as well).   I actually really love the eye shadow quality from both brands: Too Faced Natural Eye Palette Review and Swatches, theBalm Nude Tude Eye Shadows Palette Review and Swatches and the Balm Shady Lady Palette Vol.2 Review and Swatches so that’s a hard one.  I only wish Too Faced palette weren’t so bulky. Maybe I should get both?!

3. Cream Blusher

That is probably the last thing that I need, considering how many I have but I’ve decided that I can get one, as a treat for myself. After a lot of consideration, I’ve chosen Stila’s Stila Convertible Colour (I actually can’t believe that I still haven’t tried it!) I think I’ll get Rose or Lillium (£15.12 from Beauty Bay)

Skincare

Now this is the category of the products that I need. There are a lot of skincare products that I want  and the list is endless but these

Clarins Body Scrubs Review: Toning Body Polisher and Smoothing Body Scrub

I love a good body scrub and I  do love Clarins. Clarins make two body scrubs: Toning Body Polisher and Smoothing Body Scrub , and I actually have both.

They both are very different but both are brilliant. So which one is the best for you?

Toning Body Polisher, £30/$40 for 200 ml

This is my personal favoutite and there are a lot of reasons for that. First of all, I love the texture, it’s  a mix of  sugar, salt crystals and essential body oils.  I love how super smooth and silky my skin feels afterwards. I personally use it on the dry skin and the effect is fantastic. Plus you don’t need that much, which I was surprised about, as usually with a similar texture, you end up using lots of product.

One more thing that I absolutely have to mention is the scent! I love heavily scented body products so this one is a perfect one for me! It combines essential oils of Rosemary, Rosewood and Mint. And it is strong! But I personally find that it lifts my spirit and improves my mood. I can feel the aroma of the scrub even  in the other rooms and it stays in the bathroom for some time.

But if you want something more delicate and with
