Some beauty products are so good, that there is almost a “before” and “after” chapters in your life. And Clarins Gentle Exfoliator Brightening Toner is such product!
Caroline Hirons always raves about gentle exfoliators (in terms of availability and price – Clarins is the easiest one to get) and how much they change your beauty regimen and Gentle Exfoliator Brightening Toner is among the products (from this category) that she rates.
So what is so special about it?
It is basically a toner that gently exfoliates the skin that you are supposed to use twice a week, as recommended by the brand. But I personally use it more often and don’t experience any problems. In fact, it’s the opposite.
The main reason why
I am not a big fan of all those “get in shape in 10 days” and “bikini ready in a week” features which are all over the Internet and in press every summer. But there are ways to make your skin look “summer ready”, as cliche as it sounds. And, since it is a beauty website, here is a step by step guide on what products and procedures I swear by.
I am a big fan of dry skin brushing, and I know that a lot of models swear by it, too. My personal favourite is definitely Elemis Skin Brush. It is not the cheapest option but really worth the money, in my opinion. I actually have two.
Coffee scrubs will also help in terms of making your skin softer and smoother. They should also help in reducing cellulite, at least I read such feedback from people who have been using them long enough.
My skin is
Considering that it is Spring, even I wanted to incorporate some colour in my look. And by colour I mean navy and emerald, not pink and orange.
I did not buy a new nail polish in ages, somehow I couldn’t find the shade that would stand out to me. But when I saw Rimmel’s Lycra Salon Pro Nail Polish, 411 Navy Seal, I knew that I had to get it. It is such a gorgeous muted dusty navy blue. I love my blue nail polishes and somehow didn’t have such shade in my collection, so I am very happy to have it now.
Have been wearing it on my nails for the last week, so expect the nails of the day soon.
It goes perfectly
It’s time for September favourites! And some of the products you see over, and over again, but I just can’t help it, as I love them very much.
You know how much I love my blushes. But if I could keep only one – that’d probably be BECCA’s Cream Blush in Amaryllis. That says it all, and the photo shows how much I love it.
When I need a very long lasting blush which I can also use on the lips (and it’s a must have for bridal makeup) – BECCA got it covered, too. Their Beach Tints are spot on! I have been loving in Grapefruit shade a lot.
I am not a powder person at all, but I have been experimenting with Rouge Bunny Rouge’s Flawless face Powder Precious Velvet in Piano Forte a lot lately and love the results, it’s a weightless product which gives a beautiful and natural polished finish.
This month I have
The last several weeks were insane for me… But I have so many things that I want to write about: both news and reviews but can hardly find time to do it.
So I’ve decided to share some of the new products that I am going to write about soon. I have been using most of them for a while now and pretty much everything is amazing.
Some of the new makeup: theBALM Shady Lady eye shadows, Trish McEvoy bronzer, eye shadows from the Fall collection and the new fan brush. Clarins lip glosses which I already reviewed and MAC Vex eye shadow.
Kerastase Chroma Riche Luminous Softening Essence (it’s brilliant) , Aromatherapy Associates Perfect Partners Bath and Shower Oils (love!), Stenders Rose bath bubble ball and Rose bath milk (wanted to try this brand for a while and it did not disappoint), L’Occitane
