Favourite Beauty Products Of 2012: Makeup

Before I start, I have to say that it was very hard to narrow my list  of favourite makeup products of 2012 but I’ve tried my best.

Let’s take a look at what I’ve chosen…

Face

Benefit Erase Paste

I don’t really use concealer on a daily basis, unless I have a new, really bad spot,  I just use Touche Eclat under my eyes and that’s all. But if I had to choose my favourite “concealer” type of product – that would be this one. It is a creamy peach corrector which works great for the  dark under eyes circles. I had a review of it but because of some tech problems, it was deleted, need to re-write it soon.

Omorovicza Complexion Perfector BB SPF 20

One of my favourite face products you can read the details why here. If you can afford it, I would definitely recommend.

Rouge Bunny Rouge Tinted Moisturiser Sketches on Water

This gives a very natural finish and light coverage and you can’t see it on the face, at all! Miracle for dry skin in cold weather, as it doesn’t enhance any dry patches.  See all the shade available here.

Daniel Sandler Invisible Radiance Foundation and Concealer

It is a very nice foundation that gives a dewy finish so works great for my dry skin. The shade Porcelain is a great fit for fair skin and works for me in AW, in SS, I use the second lightest shade – Beige. Plus it comes with concealer which is a great deal for the price. Want to know more?

BECCA Shimmering Skin Perfector in Pearl

This product probably doesn’t even need an introduction. It’s the best highlighter out there, it gives a  very natural and beautiful effect.

Cheeks

Wow, I was able to choose only three blushers, although I was very tempted to add more of them.

BECCA Cream Blush in Amaryllis

My favourite blush for AW months, perfect cool toned and natural looking, gives a nice

SS17 Mascaras: Dior, Lancome, YSL, Givenchy

Quite a few brands famous for mascaras launched  additions to their ranges, and we are talking about Lancome, YSL (The Shock) and Dior.  And I have reviewed at least one from each brand in the past…

I am also a huge fan of the Givenchy mascaras, so I am excited to see a new one from them, too.

But today let’s take a look at two mascaras I haven’t mentioned yet.

Dior Diorshow Pump‘N’Volume Mascara, $29.50 from Sephorafrom Selfridges and Bergdorf Goodman .

“A super-volumizing squeezable mascara with a fully loaded brush for instant, extreme lash volume.  By pumping the soft tube, you’ll coat the brush and soften the creamy, rich mascara formula inside for a perfect, fresh application, every time”.

Lancome The Monsieur Big Mascara,  $25 from Sephora,  Neiman Marcus,  Selfridges, HarrodsNordstrom.

“A high-volume mascara that delivers bold lash volume for up to 24 hours. Features a large brush and an ultra-creamy formula that glides onto lashes like silk and delivers up to 12 times the volume with up to 24 hours of wear”.

I am actually trying out quite a few mascaras now, so expect to see the reviews in the future.

Favourite Beauty Products of 2018

Since I already posted about my favourite makeup products of 2018, it is time for beauty!

Face

I am in my (early) 30s, and I have very dry skin which requires a lot of attention so I take my skincare seriously.  I am aware that all of the products I am going to mention are high end but every single one works incredible for my skin, and  none was a press sample, which proves that I do have a very high opinion about them and am ready to invest.

SARAH CHAPMAN Ultimate Cleanse (from Net A Porter, Cult Beauty and  Space NK).

I do not care for celebrities, unless it is Victoria Beckham, and very few other  ones in which case, I pay very close attention to her/their beauty recommendations. In fact,  someone I know who works for a big beauty brand told me that the Beckhams are among very few celebs who offer to pay for the samples they are sent. I’ve had very high expectations for this cleanser (and yes, partly because Mrs. B loves it), and it did not disappoint. Everything about the Ultimate Cleanse is pure luxury: from the packaging to the formula. Rich texture makes it easy to massage in, you get that at-home-spa feeling. And the result are fab! Clean and glowing skin without any tightness.  There is only one problem, now I want everything from the brand.

Anne Semonin Precious Serum  (from Harrods and  Net a Porter).

This is  very pricey product but after reading the most glorious reviews ( and waiting when there was a sale) I had to get it. And, seriously, this serum is
