Today I’ve decided to keep my makeup minimal, as I will spend most of my time (and money, le segh) choosing the items for my home makeover.
I’ve started with the brand’s Aqua Primer, it has a lovely light texture that smooths the face and doesn’t clog the pores. Then I have applied Benefit’s Erase Paste under the eyes which is brilliant for counteracting the blue tones. I have finished off with Rouge Bunny Rouge’s Flawless face Powder Precious Velvet in Piano Forte. It has a medium coverage and feels light on the skin. I don’t usually use powders but am experimenting with some at the moment.
To give myself some glow, I have dabbed Benefit’s High Beam on the cheek bones, under the brow bone, above the upper lip and on the bridge of the nose. FromRead More
It’s the season when berry lips are IN! And I couldn’t be happier, as I am a huge fan.
I already did a feature with my personal favourite berry lip products and here is a little selection of the berry-ish lip products that just came out for Autumn/Winter.
I have tried Stay All Day Liquid Lipstick and it is amazing so, I guess, the new glosses should be great, as well. I have chosen Merlot Vinyl – berry wine and Fuchsia Vinyl – raspberry purple. But there are a lot of other, including nude, shades.

Here is a preview of Boots No7 new collection Deco Darling. And here is what Lisa Eldridge, Creative Director has to say about it:
“The collection channels the chic and beautiful style of the 1920’s and there’s a look for every woman. Whether you want to opt for a dramatic eye or add a subtle touch of shimmer to your cheekbones, the Deco Darling Collection will leave you looking and feeling as elegant as scenes from the Great Gatsby.”
How do you you like Carey as Daisy Buchanan? The film is out in December, by the way.

I just love bright pink blush for winter months (and not only) as it really brightens the face and makes you look healthy and pretty!
So I’ve picked up three bright pink blushers that I have to show you.
NYX Cream Blush in Hot Pink , no7 Blooming Pink and Daniel Sandler Hot Pink.
This is the brightest and the most pigmented blush. You really need the tiniest amount of it, I think it would work great on the darker skin tones but you can still wear it if you have fair skin tone like I do. NYX’s Hot Pink is also the warmest of all three. You get a lot of product for the price. Read a more details review here.
No7 Vital Brights Cream Blush in Blooming Pink
This one is a Limited Edition for Spring so you better get it now if you want one. The texture is cream-to-powder and it really reminds me of the amazing YSL blushes. Colour wise, it’s aRead More
You can see my favourite lip products of 2010 here and I still really love them but I’ve decided to show you some new products that I’ve been loving this year.
Illamasqua Lipstick in Atomic
This has been my favourite lipstick of 2011 in terms of colour. It is bright fuchsia with a blue sheen. It is very pigmented and looks amazing on the lips. It was always a pleasure wearing it. You can see lip swatch here.
Clarins Colour Quench Lip Balm and Instant Light Natural Lip Perfector
I had a big ‘Clarins moment’ this year and I’ve bought quite a few products from the brand. Both their Colour Quench Lip Balm and Instant Light Natural Lip Perfector are brilliant products and I really love using them. Now I plan to try all Clarin’s lip products actually. Read detailed review and see swatches here.
Anna Sui Sui Lip Gloss
This is the only Anna Sui product that I have tried but I love it so much that may just call this gloss in 001 my favourite gloss of 2011! It’s feels really moisturizing and smooth on the lips and it smells of roses! Plus gives a very beautiful mirror-like effect. I definitely need more Anna Sui in my life! Find more here.
