When it comes to films and series, there are usually a lot of “Steal Her Style” features where the authors suggest what pieces you could buy to get a similar look to your favourte character, should you chose to do so.
But there are not enough articles which focus on beauty or makeup looks, if you ask me. And that is what I always pay attention to when I watch films/series. I actually wrote about the beauty elements of Gossip Girl, as well as Blair Waldorf‘s wedding makeup and Sex and The City already.
I also had a breakdown of the Pan Am looks straight from the Make-Up Artist.
So today I’d like to share about the makeup from the Big Little Lies. Here are the screens from the show when Celeste Wright was getting ready in
Here are a few new launches that caught my attention recently. They are from Hourglass, Chanel and theBalm, three brands I really love.
When I was placing an order on a new eye brow pencil (here), I was wishing for a slim version of the Hourglass eye brow pencil, and guess what? They just launched Arch Brow Micro-Sculpting Pencils ($28) in 9 shades. The tip is 1.4mm which makes it ultra precise.
There are also 4 new shades of the Scattered Light Glitter Eyeshadow, $29 (here): Rapture (cranberry), Vivid (olive), Burnish ( deep bronze) and Ray ( deep champagne). And I really love the look of Rapture.
Finally, the brand
As I’ve already mentioned, the times when I would get all those limited edition eye shadow palettes and yet another *insert a name of the product* are long gone. Now I only get products when I finish something (I have empties save stories over at my Insta) or when I really want that item. So here is my current wish list. And I am also including the things which I have finished so that you see what is being replaced.
I use up red nail varnishes like it’s nobody’s business so my current classic red which is CND’s Red-Y To Roll (see it here) is almost gone. I really enjoyed using it but would love to try Essie’s Gel Couture one now. I’d love Lady in Red or Rock the Runway, would have to see them in person, I am very specific about my reds.
I am obsessed with a glow-giving makeup base, and
I enjoyed sharing about the things that I loved in Winter, and now it is July and I did not share about my Spring favourites yet.
I’ve actually been strict with myself and allowed only a few products [makeup, beauty, lifestyle] so these are truly creme de la creme, for me.
This is probably my favourite product of them all, and I promise to write about it in more details because, after all, why would you need an extra step in your skincare routine which is £65 on top of it all. But it truly transformed my skincare routine. Think of all those things beauty brands promise in their press releases. It is all that: healthy glow, hydrated skin which is soft and smooth. I think my skin loves the Hungarian thermal water and the urea. And did I mention the frosted luxurious bottle?
I’ve had a small bottle of this with one of my orders and did not expect to love it as much as I do. One of the best face oils I have ever used. Again, think of all those things we want our beauty products to do. Glowing complexion? Nourished and silky skin?
Makeup4all Recommends: Clarins UV PLUS Anti-Pollution Sunscreen Multi-Protection Broad Spectrum SPF 50
I have been using Clarins sunscreen products for years now for holidays. This year they reformulated their range which I have not tried yet (but heard good things about it from my friends). However, today I want to share about the “city SPF” which I really love, and which is the product to use all year round but especially during summer for obvious reasons.
Clarins UV PLUS Anti-Pollution Sunscreen Multi-Protection Broad Spectrum SPF 50 is a gem! It is a firm favourite of a lot of people, myself included, and it is easy to see why. This sunscreen feels very lightweight, silky and non-sticky on the face, the formula is very thin, water-like which makes it undetectable once applied. I love the fact that it doesn’t leave the white cast and looks great on its own or underneath the foundation.
No one wants yet another layer on their face when it’s hot and humid, and Multi-Protection SPF doesn’t
