Too Much Red? Red Lips and Nails Of The Day!

Apparently, I don’t know such thing, as “too much black”, or, for that matter, often “too much red”.

I have been drawn to red lipstick and nail polish combo for years and years now. But lately I’ve been wearing it non-stop, almost.

While I’ve started “doing red nails”  just when I started wearing  polish in general, it took me some time to get used to red lipstick, and thank God. A teen with an (often badly applied) red lipstick is not the best sight ever, you know?!

Yes, I do wear it all with a red shirt. Did I mention

New Revlon Top Speed Nail Enamel

So there is a new nail polish by Revlon which is called Top Speed and is described as: “A built in top coat delivers a salon – smooth finish. Available in 32 cool colours that set in 60 seconds.”

Well, I guess it’s easy to find a shade or two  for yourself when you get 32 shades. I like Vintage (crimson), Cherry  and Sugar Plum.

The polishes are already available in the USA.

Revlon Colorburst Lipstick in Baby Pink Review and Lip Swatches

I am a fan of Revlon’s matte lipsticks but if you find them too dry and you don’t like matte lipsticks in general you may like their Colorburst lipsticks.

I’ve read a lot of good things about these lipsticks so I’ve decided to try them out myself. I’ve got  a lipstick in #20 which is called Baby Pink.

A lot of people love this design but I like the design of matte lipsticks so much better, although this one is ok.

Baby Pink is a shimmery pale pink. I really like this shade and  this is my  type of “nude”. I usually use my finger after I’ve applied it, as I find it a bit too shimmery and mettalic-y for my taste.

I like the texture of the lipstick, although I can’t say that it’s super moisturising, it’s not drying although it can enhance dryness of your lips (it’s winter after all).

Here I’ve tried to make some swatches with the flash and without it

Revlon False Lashes Review and Photos

Recently I’ve been wearing false lashes quite a lot and here are some of my favourite.

And I am talking about Revlon lashes. There are so many reasons to love them:

Affordable price

  • I got Flirty lashes for £4.99 and Short Natural for £3.99.  The glue from Flirty lashes set is enough for several pairs of lashes although it looks like a small tube.

The quality is great

  • You can see that lashes are much bigger than your natural lashes but you can’t really tell that they are fake. Just be sure to curl them once applied and apply mascara on top. You may also need to feel in any gaps with  eye liner or  pencil.

Flirty lashes are already used.  I am sorry, I should have taken the photo before that.

Natural effect.

I love dramatic false lashes and

Affordable Baby Pink Lipsticks: Revlon, Max Factor, Rimmel and MeMeMe

I thought that would be nice to write about some affordable pink lipsticks, as I used to buy a lot of these back in the days (ha!) that I have. In fact, some of them I have never mentioned before.

So the lipsticks that I’ve chosen are:

Revlon Colorbust Lipstick in 020 Baby Pink

It has semi-sheer frosty finish and a light pink colour. Feels nice and non-drying on the lips, I personally like to blot it, as otherwise it looks too metallic for my taste. See it applied here.

Max Factor Xperience Sheer Gloss Balm in 02 Coral

This is my favourite out of five. It gives just a wash of colour, I’d say it’s a pinkish sheen, and I am personally not sure why is it called Coral. I love using it with intense eye makeup or just as an everyday lip product. I find that the “sheer gloss balm” is a very appropriate name, as it is exactly that. I have one more shade  from the line and you can see them both on the lips here.

Rimmel Moisture Renew Lipstick in 800 Pink Star
