It’s time for July favourites and this month it was very easy to pick the products, as I truly love all of them and have been reaching for them a lot!
So here we go:
I don’t know how many times I’ve mentioned Xen-Tan Deep Bronze Luxe Once A Week Self Tan (review) and Omorovicza Gold Shimmer Oil (review) but I have to do it just once again as they are both fantastic products! Both are not exactly cheap but the best summer investment I’ve made. The self tanner gives my pale skin some colour so that I don’t look like a corpse and the oil moisturizes my dry skin and gives a beautiful glow.
I am not the one to go for shimmer usually but for summer I love it. Plus the oil smells amazing and a little goes a very long way.
When I finish my Xen Tan self tanner I plan to get an even darker version (I also have a Light one, by the way) – Xen-Tan Dark Lotion Absolute Luxe Weekly Self-Tan, that is.
Terre d’Oc Milky Make-up Remover Oil
This is such a
Oh, great! Today I wanted to tell you about the Benefit gloss that I’ve been loving a lot lately. And just when I’ve wanted to take photos of it I’ve realized that I can’t find it! Perfect. I’ve been looking for it everywhere and still nothing.
If you follow me on twitter you probably know that about a month ago I’ve lost a brand new brown Benefit BadGal mascara which I bought for summer.
Great, now 2 Benefit products are gone. I am extremely upset. The gloss by the way is called I’m with the band and is a pretty peachy colour which smells amazing. Plus it feels great on the lips.
So now, instead of telling you about my Benefit gloss, I will just show you how I keep the glosses that I use most of the time.
I like to keep glosses that I like separately from other glosses and lip products so that I can always reach for the one that I want to use today.
So here are the glosses that I like and some of them I reviewed for you already. Besides the glosses you can also see 2 mini lip liners by Chanel and Shiseido.
Glosses that I’ve already reviewed are:
I thought that would be nice to write about some affordable pink lipsticks, as I used to buy a lot of these back in the days (ha!) that I have. In fact, some of them I have never mentioned before.
So the lipsticks that I’ve chosen are:
Revlon Colorbust Lipstick in 020 Baby Pink
It has semi-sheer frosty finish and a light pink colour. Feels nice and non-drying on the lips, I personally like to blot it, as otherwise it looks too metallic for my taste. See it applied here.
Max Factor Xperience Sheer Gloss Balm in 02 Coral
This is my favourite out of five. It gives just a wash of colour, I’d say it’s a pinkish sheen, and I am personally not sure why is it called Coral. I love using it with intense eye makeup or just as an everyday lip product. I find that the “sheer gloss balm” is a very appropriate name, as it is exactly that. I have one more shade from the line and you can see them both on the lips here.
Rimmel Moisture Renew Lipstick in 800 Pink Star
My friends ask me all the time about my favourite high-street makeup products, and I have realized that I haven’t posted a top 5 [affordable makeup products] feature in ages (See previous ones here and here)… So here we go!
Max Factor Creme Puff Blush in Alluring Rose (review and cheek swatches)
If I had to choose only one product out of these – it’d be the blush. Regular readers know how many blushes I own, and the fact that I’ve barely touched any other in months says it all. Creme Puff Blushes are dreamy! Soft and creamy, they blend beautifully and look gorgeous on the skin. I am a convert, and I have recommended it to a lot of my girlfriends, too. There are six shades in the range and I have swatches of three (click the link above). I can’t recommend these enough!
Rimmel Kate Moss Lasting Finish Lipstick in 45 (review and lip swatches)
Being a fan of Rimmel Kate Moss lipsticks I knew I’d love the
Some of my readers told me that they would love to see more posts about the drugstore makeup. So I thought, why not? For the last several weeks I’ve been testing some drugstore makeup items that I was able to find in my collection.
So in July’s favourites I’ve included some of those products.
1.Too Faced Natural Eye Palette
I got this palette back in fall and even made swatches but I just forgot about it until I’ve found it this month. You get 9 pretty eye shadows both matte and shimmery finish. I got mine from the USA for $35. I will be sure to write a detailed review with swatches as soon as I can.
2.Max Factor Lash Extension Effect mascara
I’ve been using this mascara a lot and I love how it divides the lashes and it works perfect for the lower lashes. You can read review and see photos of it here.
3.Max Factor Second Skin foundation in Creamy Ivory
This is one of the best foundations I’ve ever tried and you can find out why here.
4.BECCA Jewel Dust in Asrai
First of all I have to say that I love the package, not only it’s gorgeous but it also has small holes in it so the product stays inside the container. And also, althought it’s not glass, the package doen’t look cheap! As for the shade, it’s so beautiful: iridescent pink with some small glitter. I love dusting it over the cream eye shadows. I promise to write a review later.
5.Rimmel Colour Show Off Lipstick in Pink Gossip
It’s a hot pink lipstick which stays on for a very long time and is great for summer. But I only
