I’ve picked up the Yves Rocher’s Nutritive Vegetal Velvety Toner for Dry and Very Dry Skin several weeks ago because I’ve heard some amazing things about it, and wanted to try a new toner anyway.
And it did not disappoint.
It is a great transitional product from cleanser to serum/oil/moisturizer/whatever you use next. I like how it calms, soothes my skin, and leaves it soft. Plus it doesn’t irritate or dry it out, even when it’s very cold outside.
I don’t really know what else is there to say about a toner, besides that it smells nice and I like the cheerful orange colour of the bottle.

Oils are a necessity for me, beauty-wise, especially in AW period. My skin is very dry, and during the cold months it is flaky and sore. And I do love my daily hot shower which dries out the skin even more. But I just can’t help it. The relaxing and anti-stress effect [of a hot shower] is very important for me.
This is why I’ve decided to get some shower oils. I have started with Yves Rocher Oriental Shower Oil .
And it is really lovely indeed. It has a subtle oriental scent, as the name suggests. The way it looks and smells – it reminds me of honey. My favourite way of using it is to apply to the skin directly. I love such things as scents and music, as they help to evoke memories, and it’s almost like you can feel the same emotions and “re-live” certain events that happened in your life… It is one of my favourite thing, ever.
This is why I treasure my Yves Rocher Mure Sauvage Eau de Toilette so much. I have got it as a Birthday present from a very dear girlfriend five or even six years ago, and I still have my bottle. Now they have a different design.
Some time ago my lovely friend picked up two mini Yves Rocher shower gels for me as a present, how sweet of her!
She actually told me that it took her forever to choose which scents to get and I don’t blame her, as they offer a lot of nice ones.
So she did get raspberry and vanilla and I am loving both.
They both smell very nice and that’s one of the most important things, for me, when it comes to a shower gel. Although I do like raspberry one better as it smells so juicy and refreshing, I like vanilla, as well. It is
I haven’t posted a “New Purchases” feature in ages because I haven’t really been buying beauty products lately, but here is finally a round-up of my newest picks (which I have already posted at my Instagram).
Clarins Gentle Foaming cleanser for dry or sensitive skin
I have posted about Clarins cleansers and toners, and about to publish the second part. This is actually the only Clarins cleanser (suitable for my skin type) that I haven’t tried yet, so it was about time. So far, I enjoy using it so expect a feature.
Clarins Day Screen Multi-Protection SPF 50
This is a must have product in my daily skincare routine, in fact, I have
