Lancome Happy Holidays Makeup Collection for Christmas 2012

Here a preview of Lancome’s Christmas 2012 makeup collection Happy Holidays which is all about the gold, red and sequins, very festive!

This collection was actually inspired by Paris, where, according to Lancome, ” illuminations resonate with enchanting shimmer”.

This collection includes:

Lancôme Ombre Hypnôse Mono (£18) in Fil d’Or, Fil d’Argent (on promo) and Fil d’Bronze.

These come in a beautiful sparkly compact and the eye shadows themselves are woven like a mesh fabric. It is promised they these  give a beautiful metallic effect and should last up to 16 hours. They do look promising, I think the texture and formula should be great.

Lancôme Ombre Les Paillettes aux Yeux (£17.50) in À la Belle Étoile and Lumières de Paris.

Shimmering loose powder to apply directly to lids or on top of other products for a glowy effect.

Lancôme Le Crayon Khôl  (£16) in Jazzy Taupe and France in a Glance

Lancôme L’Absolu Rouge (£21) in

Trish McEvoy Holiday and Resort 2012 Makeup Launches.

TrishMcEvoy is such a great makeup brand which is, unfortunately, not that widely available. But if you have a chance – definitely try their products, I personally love everything  I have from this brand.

I’ve decided to share the most interesting, in my opinion, products from their latest launches.

I am loving the look of this Lip Color Collection.

There are seven shades: Barely Nude – peach nude, Barely There – spiced nude, Rosewood – spiced rose, Flirt – soft vibrant coral, Kisses – red coral, Precious Pink – soft vibrant pink and Barely Peach – soft peach. Each is $28.

There are also two face products that caught my attention – Beauty Booster Tinted Moisturizer SPF 20.

It comes in three shades and retails for $75. The formula is infused with antioxidants, hyaluronic acid, and light-diffusing color to “instantly provide radiant, Even Skin while fending off age, dehydration and free-radical damage.”

And Beauty Balm Instant Solutions SPF 35  which comes in two shades and retails for $85. It will be available from 10th December which is in a week from today.

This product should prime, brighten, even and hydrate skin, while controlling oils and improving skin’s texture over time.

Essie Leading Lady Nail Polish Collection for Winter 2012

I like that Essie offers such a great variety of shades for this Winter. Not the usual reds and golds but also blues coral and pinks.

I think the turquoise one is actually my favourite shade… I also love the blue one and the glitter red.

There are six shades:

  •  Leading Lady, a supreme deep red with glitter
  • Butler Please, an indulgent bright blue
  • Where’s My Chauffer, an

YSL Northern Lights Makeup Collection for Christmas 2012

I honestly do not think that YSL makeup collection Northern Lights could be more  beautiful.  Aurora Borealis with it’s unique colours and shades was the inspiration for Lloyd Simmonds.

This is my favourite YSL beauty promo of this year, definitely. So elegant and chic.

Here is what he says:

“The Aurora Borealis, or northern lights, are incredibly vivid and I have many memories of witnessing this magical spectacle from my childhood. Their lights inspired me to create this collection of intense colours, shot through with violet and midnight blue and sprinkled with slivers of pearl, like a star-filled night.”

It is one of my dreams to see Northern Lights! How gorgeous is that?!

But back to the collection, the products are:

Golden Gloss (£22) – No55 N°55, glacial blue with a fresh, transparent highlight and N°56, snow white with pearly, lunar highlights.. These are my favourite, they capture Aurora Borealis perfectly, in my opinion.

Star product of the collection – Boréal Palette Polar Night – Highlighter Powder (£39.50, LE)

La Laque Couture Top Coat (£18)  No33 Premiere Nege, a  sparky top coat.

Pure Chromatics  (£39, LE) No12 Boréal Palette Arctic Night, comes with a

Chanel Eclats du Soir de Chanel Makeup Collection for Christmas 2012

Eclats du Soir de Chanel has to be my favourite Chanel  makeup collection of this  year. It is actually  Peter Philips’ reinterpretation of the  “rouge noir” which he enriched  with gold and bronze  to make it festive.

The lipstick and the nail polish look fantastic!

The products from the collection are:

Eyes

REGARD SIGNĒ DE CHANEL (£43) Harmonie du Soir, deep golden bronze, a plum red, smoky taupe and pink.
