I really love the new Escape to Hollywood Autumn/Winter 2012 makeup collection by Daniel Sandler cosmetics. I think it has to be my favourite one so far actually!
This collection was inspired by the 50’s and 60’s glamorous Hollywood beauties, think Sophia Loren and Lauren Bacall.
My personal favourite has to be Polychromatic Eyeshadow in Lava, it looks perfect to me. The other eye shadow is Sheer Satin Eyeshadow in Burnt Sand and it looks great, too. Each eye shadow retails for £10.25.
For the lips, you get a gorgeous Luxury Matte Lipstick in Red Carpet £13.25.
And there are also two other products to create the look: Jumbo Jet Mascara (£14.75) and Watercolour Crème Bronzer in Riviera (£15.50). I bet the bronzer is amazing as I have the the Watercolour Crème blush and it is fantastic.
Here is a face chart of the look and some tips from Daniel himself:
Here is just a quick update about the new and upcoming products. I know that I a lot of readers like this format…So here we go.
First of all there are three new shades of lipsticks (£25) and nail polishes (£18) from Chanel which were created for Fashion Night Out but you can now get them in Harrods, Selfridges Manchester Exchange, House of Fraser Glasgow, John Lewis W1 and Fenwick Newcastle.
The shades are:
- LA PROVOCANTE & PROVOCATION: a unique autumn plum shade.

- LA DÉLICATE & DÉLICATESSE: a refined expression of beige to play on the natural side of sophistication.

Clarins Christmas 2012 makeup collection called Odyssey was inspired by the Greek Gods. This collection includes two gorgeous compacts with a beautiful logo on top which, according to the brand, evokes the magnificence of Ancient Greece.
I am personally a die-hard of of anything inspired by a certain culture, so I love it, of course! Well done, Clarins. I vote for Scandinavia and Latin America to be next 😉
Clarins suggests going for a luminous complexion, coppery eyes and warm toned brown lips for AW season.
So let’s tale a look at the palettes.
Odyssey Face Palette (£35)
This compact should work for all skin tones and should ‘enhance the complexion for a beautiful, more even skin tone. The Light-Optimizing+ Complex reduces the appearance of wrinkles and imperfections leaving skin looking even and radiant.’
It’s Saturday which means that I finally have some time to read some blogs/magazines/ books and
clean my place relax!
Here are a few new launches that caught my attention…
First of all, Dior’s Christmas. I really love the retro looking lipsticks and nail polishes. I love the Diva Diorific (nail polish and lipstick will be sold separately). And there is also a palette, among other things, which you can see here.
