MakeUp4All AUTUMN 2011 Online Beauty Magazine

I have got the details on how you can create the looks of   Christina Ricci, Holliday Grainger, Helena Bonham Carter  and Kristen Wiig from BAFTA 2012 using GIORGIO ARMANI COSMETICS.

Christina Ricci

To accentuate Christina’s beautiful heart shape face, make-up artist  Sam Bryant applied Fluid Sheer illuminating fluid in 11 just above the cheek bones to add dewiness and lift. Sheer Bronzer in 1 was swept under the cheek bones and onto temples for definition and warmth to compliment Christina’s beautiful golden gown. For the final touches Sam added a touch of Sheer Blush in 10 on to the apples of the cheeks for a subtle pop of colour.

Christina’s eyebrows are naturally well defined so Sam simply elongated them using Brow Defining Pencil in 2 to create a polished look.

Holliday Grainger

A-list make-up artist Florrie White was used to create Holliday’s fresh 50’s look to compliment her stunning champagne embellished Armani Privè gown.

Florrie loves the a classic but playful look for Holliday, ‘By keeping the skin dewy and highlighted, the lashline defined and adding a pop of colour, Holliday was still very refined but with a modern play with colour.’

After prepping Hollidays’s skin with Crema Nera Mineral Prima Lotion, Emma applied a fine layer of Luminous Silk Foundation in 2 over her face and a touch of High Precision Concealer in 2 under the eyes to brighten. Lasting Silk Foundation in 4 was applied over the top of the apples of the cheeks and temples to give Holliday an ethereal bronzed glow, cheeks were given a natural flush with Blushing Fabric Second Skin Blush in 1.

Holliday’s large blue eyes were made party proof with Eyes to Kill Intense Eyeshadows. Emma applied shade 11 in the inner corner of her eyes and swept over her eyelids for a soft glow of gold. She then applied a fine line from her top inner lid all away along her lashline and slightly winged it out with Maestro Eye Liner in 1 for the perfect 50’s cateye flick. Emma then smudged a little Eyes to Kill eyeshadow in 6 under her outer and lower lashline. After curling her lashes she applied at least 3 coats of Eyes to Kill Mascara in 1 to make her lashes dramatic and long, then combed them through to keep their individual definition.

Holliday’s eyebrows were lengthened and defined with Brow Defining Pencil in 2.

My most embarrassing secret? I watch Gossip Girl…

Why did even start watching it? To look at the makeup and clothes!

But then I got sucked in and, although I liked only the first two seasons, I still watch it because of the beautiful makeup and clothes but now also for Chuck and Blair (can’t believe I am even writing this).

I also love Leighton Meester, she is such a beauty!

I have already written a post about Gossip Girl and Chanel Makeup but the reason why I am writing this one is to share the gorgeous makeup look Blair wore to her wedding!

I am totally in love with whole look and the details:

  • the blue based glossy pink lips, such colour looks amazing on Blair, and it’s my favourite!
  • pink eye shadows with the crease contouring (there is a photo below), eye liner and some natural looking false lashes; made her eyes look defined but nothing dramatic, perfect for the wedding day!
  • I also like how the Make-Up Artists used the

Get The Look: Pan Am Girls Makeup

If you follow me on Twitter , you probably know that I was desperate to find any information about the makeup used on Pan Am. But it did not bring any success, unfortunately.

This is why I was extremely happy to recieve this information the other day!

I just have to share it with you:

Patricia Regan, the head make-up artist for PAN AM, worked closely with Chad and Scott, owners of 3 Custom Color, to create a working palette for the show inspired by the 1960′s stewardesses handbook that, amongst other things, required the gals to ‘Wear a defined eye and coral lips and cheeks’.

“My inspiration comes from extensive photographs of 1963—fashion, documentary, and people, as well as Pan Am history,” says Regan. “I try to combine the style of the past and with the tools of the present to give a fresh new look!” Here’s how she achieved it.

1) Apply a matte-finish foundation, plus I love to use the 3 Custom Clarifying pencil on the inside step to really brighten eyes.

2) Brows are

So here are the details about the Chanel products that were used on Nicole Kidman, Michelle Williams, Jessica Biel, Emma Stona and Shailene Woodley.

Nicole Kidman

CHANEL Celebrity Make-Up Artist Angela Levin

Inspiration:

The inspiration for this makeup look was Nicole’s dress. Angela said, “I focused on the amazing colour and details on her dress, to create this fresh, elegant look.”

How-To:

To start the process, Angela primed Nicole’s face with CHANEL Sublimage Essential Revitalizing Concentrate and CHANEL Hydra Beauty Hydration Protection Radiance Serum. To even out the skin tone, she applied a thin layer of Senna Barely Base in Light, and then a layer of CHANEL Vitalumière Moisture-Rich Radiance Fluid Makeup SPF 15 in Ivoire.

To play up Nicole’s eyes Angela used the taupe shade in the CHANEL Les 4 Ombres Quadra Eyeshadow in Lilium all over the lids, followed by the deep green shade to define the upper lash line. She lined under the lower lash line with Face Eyeshadow in Steel, and then the lashes were finished with CHANEL Inimitable Mascara in Noir.

To complete the look Angela used CHANEL Joues Contraste Powder Blush in In Love on the cheeks and Laura Mercer Secret Brightening Powder on the cheek and brow bones. Lastly, she used CHANEL Rouge Coco Hydrating Crème Lip Colour in Superstition to achieve a neutral-lip look.

Michelle Williams

CHANEL Celebrity Make-Up Artist Angela Levin

Inspiration:

Angela created this classic beauty look on Michelle Williams, stating “my inspiration was a gorgeous Golden Globe winner!!”

How-To:

Angela started the makeup application with cleaning the skin with CHANEL Lotion Douceur Gentle Hydrating Toner using a sponge instead of cotton. She then applied a thin layer of CHANEL Ultra Correction Lift Intensive Lifting Concentrate on her face, Angels Makeup Collagen Treatment under her eyes, and placed CHANEL Sublimage La Creme Texture Supreme on her cheeks and neck.

For this red carpet makeup look Angela applied CHANEL Vitalumière Aqua Ultra-Light Skin Perfecting Makeup SPF 15 in Beige-Pastel on the face and eye lids, as a base.

On the eyes, she used the grey shadow shades from the CHANEL Les 4 Ombres Quadra Eyeshadow in Smoky Eyes to create a light smoky effect on the upper lid, then adding CHANEL Stylo Yeux Long-Lasting Eyeliner in Black Shimmer to the top lash.

Angela then defined the brows with CHANEL Crayon Sourcils Sculpting Eyebrow Pencil in Blond Clair and added two coats of CHANEL Inimitable Mascara in Noir on the top and bottom lashes.

On Michelle’s cheeks she applied CHANEL Joues Contraste Powder Blush in Rose Ecrin that gave a perfect flush, and completed the look with CHANEL Rouge Coco Hydrating Crème Lip Colour in Perle.
