I am sure that most of you are familiar with the original, and cult, Carmex balms. And today I want to show you the Carmex Moisture Plus SPF 15 Hydrating Lip Balm. It comes in three variations: clear, sheer pink and sheer coral.
I have the one in Sheer Pink.
Although the packaging is nothing exciting the main things is the product inside, right?
You can definitely feel a tingling sensation once you apply the product which I personally quite like, especially in the summer. This balm is hydrating and nourishing, indeed. In fact, I have asked some of my friends to try it, as well, to give me their opinion, and they all agreed.
As for the colour, it
I’ve wanted to try Inglot’s Body Sparkles for quite a long time but I couldn’t figure out which shade to get but finally I made up my mind and got the #54.
I couldn’t make up my mind because they all are so SO gorgeous. Most of them have a very subtle iridescent shimmer but some contain fine glitter. In the jars they make look very similar (although they are not on the website) but they give you a different frosty shade. I was kind of torn apart but finally got the one with warm toned, golden peach shimmer.
So here is how it looks like in the jar
As these are body sparkles you can use them all over your body and I personally like using it on my eyes. It looks gorgeous used over a primer with a liner and mascara. But you can also use it over the cream eye shadows for a pretty shimmery effect of press over the powder eye shadows for the dimensional look.
And this is how it looks like inside.
Lets take a look at the swatches
We all love personalised approach when it comes to everything including beauty, don’t we? This is why it is awesome to see brands having that approach. I am personally a fan of Concoction hair care brand, and now it is awesome to see Clarins and their Boosters.
What are these?
Clarins Boosters are basically high-concentrated formulas which are created for a certain concern. You simply add several drops to the cream of your choice. There are three options to choose from:
- Tones are re-energises the skin
- Minimises signs of fatigue
- Revives radiance
- Reduces feelings of discomfort
- Optimises skin strength
- Minimises the appearance of redness
October is one of my favourite months and I am kind of sad that it is over already but it was a great one despite the fact that I was ill for over a week.
I’ve decided that before talking about my beauty favourites, I’d mention some other things I like/enjoy:
- I’ve finally went to my first swimming class after planning on going for months. Since I’ve got sick the next day I haven’t been back yet but I will be. Next week.
- Downton Abbey. That 1920’s style…And I refuse to accept that it’s the last season.
- Since I was ill for a week at home, I’ve got time to read and it was wonderful. I was mostly reading cultural and philosophical articles (yeah, I do love such topics) but here is my reading list.
- And finally – Pinterest. This has to be my favourite social media, I am always browsing/pinning/saving photos.
Max Factor Creme Puff Blush in Alluring Rose (review and swatches)
This is probably my favourite launch of the year. Seriously, I could not love these blushes more than I do, and I feel like I have been going on, and on about them. They have the creamiest and softest texture, blend beautifully and have that all-in-one effect. You don’t really need any highlighter or sculpting, just this. And
As we are talking about lipsticks today I will show you the one I’ve been loving a lot lately! And it’s a matte lipstick by Revlon. I have to say that these days I am all about matte makeup. Besides lip products, I love matte eye shadows and slightly 60’s inspired look.
So here is what they say about the lipstick “Revlon Matte Lipstick gives suede-like application and maximum colour with on trend shades, that glide effortlessly across lips depositing rich, beautiful, matte colour.”
This is how the lipstick looks like and it has this interesting design where you can see the colour without opening it, very handy if you have a lot of similar lipsticks.
The shade I’ve got is called Pink Pout and I got it for £7.29 at Boots. And this is how it looks like swatched on the skin
