I am a big fan of Aromatherapy Associates and I also have dry skin so their Enrich Body Serum seemed like a perfect product for me!
So what was my impression?
I have never tried serums for body so this was an exciting experience. This is a light textured product which is not sticky at all and which absorbs quickly and leaves the skin hydrated, smooth and silky. It also has a nice cooling effect. Enrich Body Serum was something extra I was using on my skin during the winter and it was a great change for my routine!
Of course being an Aromatherapy Associates’ product this serum
This winter I have finished so many body lotions/creams/ butters, and I did want to do the empties feature but all those bottles got on my nerves, and I threw them away. However, I will share about one of my favourites – The Scottish Fine Soaps Company Tangled Rose Body Butter.
I actually bought it because of the name, regular readers will know that I am obsessed with rose scented beauty products, and even tea and coffee with rose! I also really liked all the products from the Scottish Fine Soaps Company that I have tried in the past so had high hopes for this body butter.
And it is nice. The scent is really lovely, it is described as “roses, amber, cedarwood and a hint of
I’ve already written about my favourite makeup products and even nail polishes of 2010 but what about skincare you may ask? The brand of the year for me was definitely Elemis. All the products that I’ve tried this year were nice and some were just amazing.
I ADORE the Exotic line for the body. The Salt Glow, Frangipani melt and the shower cream are just amazing = perfection. The body lotion (I have a travel size) is nice but it’s not my favourite. The Milk Bath is divine, you can read about it here.
I dream about the perfume which smells like the moisture melt and I was really hoping that the Exotic perfumes smell like it but unfortunately (for me) they don’t. But my Mama is crazy about this scent.
I’ve been also loving Elemis face care products. I already
As mentioned in this post, I had Nivea, Extended Moisture, Body Lotion, Dry to Very Dry Skin on my list every since my friend gave me hers to try. I did get myself a bottle afterwards, and I really, really loved it.
The funny thing is that I have to use a brand’s photo, as I gave my bottle to another friend in the end, as we were on a holiday together and she loved it so much, that I gave it to her, and still did not get a new one for myself.
So what is so good about this lotion? It does work! It melts into the skin, leaving it soft and smooth instantly, you can say goodbye to tight, itchy or sore [skin], the texture is lovely and the scent is nice, too.
Moreover, this lotion also feels amazing when
Kind Natured, an affordable natural brand (it is promised that the products are free of Sulphates, Parabens and Petrochemicals; and are 97% natural in general) brought out two new lines recently, and I was kindly sent some products to try out.
Two new ranges are:
- Shea & Macadamia – described as deeply nourishing and formulated for very dry skin.
- Coconut & Monoi – described as moisturising and formulated for normal and dry skin
Each line has three products so far: Foaming Sugar Scrub (£5.99), Body Lotion (£5.99) and a Hand Cream (£4.99).
So what are my thoughts?
First of all, I think it was a clever idea to bring out the scented products at this time of year when we all are a bit tired of the cold months and crave the sun. Both lines have that sweet exotic scent, and make me personally think of a summer holiday and cocktails on the beach, they are like a summer-in-a-bottle. Although the
