LUSH Rub Rub Rub and Glögg Review and Photos

I haven’t been to LUSH in some time so I’ve decided to go and get something as a part of my Birthday treat. I’ve picked up one Christmas set with a big discount (obviously) and Rub Rub Rub.

I haven’t tried  the Northern Lights soap yet but I’ve used other products several times already and want to share my opinion.

Rub Rub Rub

I personally really loved this scrub as it is such a multi-purpose product. You can use it as a scrub on a dry body, mixed with water as a scrubbing shower gel for a more gentle effect or as… shampoo!

Although it does say that you can use it on your hair I don’t think I would ever do it unless a recommendation from a friend. And, wow, I was actually really impressed with the results.

Actually when I’ve asked a lady at LUSH for her favourite product – she pointed at Rub Rub Rub. And it is lovely. Leaves the body soft and clean when used as a scrub and leaves the hair shiny and light when used as a shampoo.

The only minus is that it won’t last you for a very long time. I am through half of the bottle in less than a month. I will definitely re-purchase this product at some point.

Do you have a  Lush scrub recommendations?

Glögg

This is actually a seasonal shower gel but

Linden Leaves Herbalist Sugar Salt Exfoliating Body Rub and Memories Body Oil Review and Photos

When I first heard about the Linden Leaves, a beautiful skincare range from New Zealand, I  really liked pretty much everything about the brand.

I loved the clean and sophisticated packaging,  the series that the products are divided into and the story behind the brand. Plus they also have two series for men – Pure Man and Rugby.

I also liked their website,  it gave me this idea of a natural and soothing skincare line. There are actually a lot of products to choose from so it was very hard. But I’ve decided to try the scrub from the Herbalist line which is called Sugar Salt Exfoliating Body Rub and the Memories Body Oil from the Aromatherapy Synergy range.

Herbalist  Sugar Salt Exfoliating Body Rub, €23.53 (200g / 7.05 oz)

It’s great to have a sugar salt scrub as most are just sugar or salt, so now you don’t have to choose. The first thing that I’ve noticed about this  product – its unusual and rather strong scent. I can’t quite describe it but I’d say that Herbalist is a great name for this product.

The rub contains essential oil of basil (‘to stimulate circulation and invigorate’), clary sage (‘to ease muscular aches and relax and de-stress the mind‘), and evening primrose oil (‘to nourish and hydrate’).  Other ingredients are: jojoba oil and sweet almond oil (‘to moisturise and soothe inflamed skin’).

This is a really lovely product,  I find that it effectively but gently exfoliates my skin, leaving it smooth and ready for a moisturizer! It doesn’t hurt or damage the skin as it contains essential oils.  As for the scent, I don’t think that I’ve had anything with a similar one, but, luckily, I like it. I find it calming and relaxing!

 Memories Body Oil , € 31.93 (250 ml)

Now this is a very unique product. Although

Elemis Tranquil Touch Body Polish Review and Photos

So here is finally the review of the Elemis‘  Tranquil Touch Body Polish (150ml for £20) which I recently got as a small summer treat for myself  and which I’ve already mentioned here.

Elemis have three body exfoliators: Exotic Lime and Ginger Salt Glow which I adore and reviewed here, Tranquil Touch Body Polish and Devil’s Mint Body Scrub which I will be definitely getting in the future to try.

Just as I thought, this body polish is absolutely amazing.  I love the beautiful package, the design and the

Favourite Beauty Products of 2010: Skincare

I’ve already written about my favourite makeup products and even nail polishes of 2010 but what about skincare you may ask? The brand of the year for me was definitely Elemis.  All the products that I’ve tried this year were nice and some were just amazing.

I ADORE the Exotic line for the body. The Salt Glow, Frangipani melt and the shower cream are just amazing = perfection. The body lotion (I have a travel size) is nice but it’s not my favourite.  The Milk Bath is divine, you can read about it here.

I dream about the perfume which smells like the moisture melt and I  was really hoping that the Exotic perfumes smell like it but unfortunately (for me) they don’t. But my Mama is crazy about this scent.

I’ve been also loving Elemis face care products. I already

Elemis Exotic Lime and Ginger Salt Glow. Review and Photos

One more thing that I’ve been loving by Elemis besides their Exotic Frangipani Monoi Moisture Melt is the Exotic Lime and Ginger Salt Glow. This product won several awards and I’ve heard so many raves about it so today I will tell you my opinion.

So this is what is written about this product:

“The Exotic Lime and Ginger Salt Glow is the ultimate exfoliation ritual for smooth, glowing skin from top to toe. Invigorating Ginger stimulates the metabolism and tones the body, whilst Lime Peel cleanses and purifies the skin. Sea Salt exfoliates and remineralises, helping the skin to regain its health and softness.”

The key ingredients are:

  • Camellia
  • Ginger
  • Jojoba
  • Kukui
  • Lime Peel
  • Sea Salt

And this is why I like it and how it looks inside:
