When I first heard that Dior is going to create a new lip gloss I knew that it’s gonna be mine! So I was very happy when I finally got myself one.
There are 18 glosses divided into 3 different groups: Glow (subtle nudes with light shimmer), Pearl (mostly pink with more shimmer) and Flash (bright bold shades with lots of shimmer). Dior made a website dedicated to this gloss so you can read all the details there.
So far I’ve got only one gloss which is from a “Glow group” and is called #236 Satin Peach. I always end up buying baby pink glosses so this time I “forced myself” to get something different.
This is how the gloss looks like – classic Dior design, very chic and elegant in my opinion, “straight from the runway” as it is stated. It is a flash-plumping lipgloss with a dazzling finish.
I really like how the gloss is described:
“Dior Addict Ultra Gloss features a featherweight formula with a flash-plumping, “spotlight shine” effect. Hyaluronic spheres keep lips smooth and moisturized, while mirror-like micropearls reflect light in all directions for a dazzling finish. The package is tall and sleek, with a Lucite top that mirrors the nano-spotlight effect. The precision brush applicator makes for effortless, perfect application every time.”
Why I love it so much.
To be honest I could not say it better myself! And this time I have to agree with everything that is written.
I really like the name “featherweight formula” because it perfectly describes this gloss. It is so light that you almost don’t feel it on the lips; it is not sticky at all, but yet the gloss is moisturizing.
It’s a pleasure to apply it because of the small brush which applies the gloss evenly and it’s almost impossible to make a mess.
One more thing that I like is the effect that the gloss gives. It contains a lot of micro glitter particles which shine in the sun and make your lips look fuller and sexier. Maybe that sounds like a cliché but believe me this is the way it is, or at least I am lucky to see such effect on myself.
Dior Addict Ultra Gloss doesn’t have any flavour and doesn’t smell to me.
If to talk about this particular shade( #236 Satin Peach) I like how it
Foundation that made it’s début at Victoria Beckham’s (AW14) show; with the look created by Pat McGrath? Need I say more? I am in!
What foundation was that? Max Factor’s Skin Luminizer. I was sent one of the shades, so here are my thoughts:
The packaging is made of plastic, which may not look or feel so chic as my favourite, sadly discontinued Second Skin, but it is very handy for travelling and taking it with you, it is very light.
The pump is very well made, it dispenses even a very small amount of product so you don’t waste any.
What about the foundation itself?
It has a
Do you remember those super beautiful Bourjois blushes and eye shadows? Of course I had to get them and I’ve picked 32 Ambre D’Or blush for myself.
I am not sure if you can still find the products with this design but you can always get them with the regular design.
Why you may like this blush:
- Because of the design. This is actually the reason why I got it.
- There is a mirror and a small brush inside.
- This product is travel friendly.
- It’s a nice warm shade which is perfect for summer. It will look nice both on girls with fair and tanned skin.
- It has some shimmer in it so if you are a fan – this blush is for you.
- The price is very reasonable – £6.85.
Why you may not like it
I hope that you all already know that I am a huge fan of ArtDeco eye shadows. I think these are one of the best eye shadows out there and they are really worth getting! They have so many shades to choose from and they always have these beautiful LE palettes for the eye shadows. My fave is probably from Holiday 2009 collection.
Several months ago I got a LE palette from their Spring collection which looks like this. So I thought that it was time to get 4 more eye shadows to fill it in. I’ve got only 1 so far because all the other shades that I’ve wanted were sold out (but I will be back). The price of each shadow is ~ €5, depends on the country.
I got eye shadow #605 which is a gorgeous silvery grey.
As usual, I am very happy with the quality. The eye shadows are:
I’ve bought this liner a long time ago but never wrote about it so I think today is the perfect day to do so, since we are talking about ArtDeco anyway.
I have ArtDeco Soft Lip Liner Waterproof in #8 which is described as Medium Cadmium Red on the website.
The thing is that I love pretty much everything about it: from the design to the price and from the shade to the quality.
It is really long-lasting, looks beautiful on the lips and this particular shade is simply gorgeous. I love using it all over my lips but it is great as liner as well, obviously. You can also add a gloss on top for the different effect.
