If you follow me on Instagram, you could already see a preview of some Rouge Bunny Rouge products that I was sent for a review, so here is a long time promised feature about their Glassy Gloss Sweet Excess gorgeous glosses.
There are six shades in the range, and I actually have five of them. The missing shades is CHERRY CLAFOUTIS which is described as a “gloss version of the ‘Scrumptiously Devious’ lipstick, sheer blue based cool pink with a warm golden opalescence”. And I actually have a review of the lipstick here.
The shades I have are (descriptions from Rouge Bunny Rouge):
FLEUR PARFAIT, Cushiony-soft semi-opaque mauve pink, with subtle silver highlights
MOUSSE FANDANGO, Dark tone of milky pink with barest whispers of grayish mauve and touch of silver micro pearls
RAHAT LOKUM, Pale milky pink with medium-heavy mother of pearl effect micro-shimmer
RASPBERRY MERINGUE, Pale pink with very soft mother of pearl micro-shimmer – this shade doesn’t yield a strong colour, but it makes lips naturally pretty
RHUBARB CUSTARD, Semi sheet coverage milky nude rosewood – irreplaceable my-lips-but-better colour
My personal favourite is Raspberry Meringue which is actually always in my handbag. It is a gorgeous cool-toned pink with micro-shimmer. Love me some sparkles!
The other shade that I use a lot is Rahat Lokum which is heavier on the shimmer and warmer in tone. I am actually wearing it as I type.
Rhubarb Custard is a great option for those who like “nude” lip glosses. It is a creamy and balmy every day kind of shade. No shimmer.
As for Mousse Fandango – RBR have a reallyRead More
My friends ask me all the time about my favourite high-street makeup products, and I have realized that I haven’t posted a top 5 [affordable makeup products] feature in ages (See previous ones here and here)… So here we go!
Max Factor Creme Puff Blush in Alluring Rose (review and cheek swatches)
If I had to choose only one product out of these – it’d be the blush. Regular readers know how many blushes I own, and the fact that I’ve barely touched any other in months says it all. Creme Puff Blushes are dreamy! Soft and creamy, they blend beautifully and look gorgeous on the skin. I am a convert, and I have recommended it to a lot of my girlfriends, too. There are six shades in the range and I have swatches of three (click the link above). I can’t recommend these enough!
Rimmel Kate Moss Lasting Finish Lipstick in 45 (review and lip swatches)
Being a fan of Rimmel Kate Moss lipsticks I knew I’d love theRead More
I have a slight obsession with cool-toned shimmering lip glosses, the sadly discontinued Guerlain’s KissKiss Gloss in 800 Crystal Pearl has to be my favourite gloss in the World. I am actually always on a hunt for a good dupe. Plus, despite having tonnes of lip products, this is the kind of lip glosses that I manage to use up.
This is why I had to pick up new L’Oreal Glam Shine in Dazzle 201 Sparkle Shower. By the way, there are tonnes of gorgeous shades and several finishes in the line, so they are definitely worth checking out.
And this gloss is really nice, it feels great on the lips, moisturizing, non-sticky or gloopy at all. I also like the applicator (similar to YSL) which “hugs” the lips and helps with the application. While this shade is quite forgiving that may be something useful with darker and brighter colours.
I also have to mention aRead More
These are basically rich and creamy balms that moisturize the lips and give a beautiful tint. I’d say that they give more colour than the original lip perfectors.
I personally really love the packaging and the design. You can definitely tell that it’s a high-end lip balm.
I was sent the shades:
01 Rose, It is the same shade as the first original Lip Perfector that I’ve bought several years ago. A pretty every day pink. You can never go wrong with it.
03 My Pink which is just like Clarins Lip Balm Crayon reacts with theRead More
I have two products from Bobbi Brown’s Illuminating Nudes Spring collection to show you. Sheer Lip Gloss in Almost Peach and Sparkle Eye Shadow in Golden Peach.
Sparkle Eye Shadow in Golden Peach
I really like Bobbi’s eye shadows in sparkle formula, and I use my Black Chocolate one pretty often. I think this is just the best eye shadow type to use for a night out, it looks absolutely gorgeous in the artificial light, the sparkles are truly beautiful. In the day time, it may not be appropriate for an office work if you layer it all over the lid but would be great for adding just a bit of dimension in the center of the lid. Also, it looks a lot more subtle in the day light.
And the formula is smooth and not gritty at all, I think they’ve nailed it. If there is a shade that you like – I wouldRead More
