Make Up For Ever Aqua Cream in #5 Review, Photos and Swatches

I’ve been wanting to try Make Up For Ever Aqua Creams for a long time now. So when I had an opportunity to visit Make Up For Ever boutique back in July I was very excited.

I am actually very impressed with myself because I’ve managed to leave the store with only one product and it was Aqua Cream in shade # 5 which is a peach with golden shimmer.

It was very hard to choose the shade but somehow I’ve  got this one.

Just like  a lot of other Make Up For Ever products, you can use this one in so many different ways and this is what I love about it so much.

It  work greats on the lips. The good thing is that you can get different shades by applying one or more layers. I personally loved it with one layer gently patted with my fingers, otherwise it looks too metallic for my taste.

I’ve also used it on my cheeks but I find that the glitter is too obvious  so I won’t be using it as a blush on myself. But you may love it – so give it a go. It is a bit similar to Orgasm by NARS but Orgasm has more pink to it and less shimmer.

I read that

Three Affordable Eye Creams

There are a lot of opinions about eye creams, and it is up to you whether or not you believe that it is effective. I personally started using one on a regular basis from my early twenties, maybe even when I was nineteen.

Having very dry skin, I can always see a difference, and I don’t want my under eye area to look as if I am at least 15+ older than I actually am.

I have recently finished two of my favourite eye creams so decideded to get something new.

I am ready to pay for a good product, as long, as it is effective. But I do realize that not everyone can/wants to. This is why I have picked up three eye creams from Lumene, which is a (non-expensive) Finnish brand to

L’Oreal Color Infaillible Eye Shadows in All Night Blue Review, Photos and Swatches

Last week I’ve finally got the L’Oreal Color Infaillible Eye Shadows. I’ve got the shade 006 All Night Blue because it is the most gorgeous blue ever.

I have to say that I actually like the design, although it is plastic, it doesn’t look cheap at all.

Just take a look at this blue, gorgeous, right?! Although blue is the hottest shade this season and it is supposed to look awesome on brown eyes (I have brown eyes) I hardly ever wear blue eye shadows. I do love navy blue liner  so I’ve decided to experiment with these eye shadows, too.I’ve tried several makeup looks  with this shade already and… I was very impressed actually. Both with the shade and the quality. This is such a pretty colour, you can pair it with so many products and styles.

You can blend the eye shadow into a smoky veil or layer it for an intense and dramatic effect. I actually loved both variants.

As for the quality, it is

May 2013 Beauty Favourites

Can you believe that it’s almost Summer? It’s the last week of May, so it’s time for a monthly favourites feature.

And I want to start with beauty products:

May Beauty Favourites SachaJuan, 111Skin, Clarins, Philip B

Hair

1. SachaJuan Ocean Mist

I have bought the Ocean Mist from my wish list this month and am absolutely in love with it! It gives just the right amount of texture and volume without making the hair too crispy. Now I just need to get the Shine Serum, too.

 2. Philip B Peppermint & Avocado Clarifying Shampoo

This product was also on my wish list and I am very happy with this purchase, as well. It smells absolutely divine, I am a huge fan of mint products for hair. I find that is leaves my scalp clean and “fresh” and  the hair super shiny.  I have got this in a kit and I’ve been loving all the products so far.

Face

3. 111Skin Y Theorem Nac Y2 Facelift Repair Serum

This serum, which costs £190 was sent to me for the feature, and I was curious to see if it was worth the price. Unfortunately, for my wallet, it is absolutely fantastic. Definitely one of the best products I have ever used on my face!  I’d say that the skin looks super soft, smooth and plump afterwards.  I will definitely write about it in details in the future.

4. Clarins Gentle Exfoliator Brightening Toner

This is a gentle, yet effective exfoliating toner which helps to achieve a brighter and fresher complexion. I use mine two-three times per week. Review coming later.

Favourite Red Lips Combo: Stila and ArtDeco

If you follow me on Instagram or read my About section – you have probably noticed that black and red are my favourite colours. I can never have too many black clothes or too many red lipsticks and nail polishes.

I have written about that so many times, but today I want to share my latest red lip combo obsession which I have discovered “by accident ” and have been wearing for weeks now. It is the red  that I have been rocking all holidays. I even included a photo…

So what are the products?

ArtDeco Soft Lip Liner Waterproof in #8 (review and swatches) (It is available for £8.40 from Beauty Bay.)

I have shared my love for this so many times… I like how long lasting and matte it looks, and the deep cool toned red. But I just wanted something brighter and warmer. So I have decided to put Stila Stay All Day Liquid Lipstick in Tesoro (review and swatches;  £15/$22. You can buy Stila from Sephora and Beauty Bay. Sephora) on top. On its own Stila is too warm and orange for my complexion. But together it was a dream-came-true combination.A classic matte, vibrant, full-on red! Show stopper, if you want.  It also
