Dermatologist Recommendations For Very Dry Skin in Winter

While I am still in the process of writing about my 2018 beauty favourites (better late than never?), I thought I’d share about my recent discoveries for the very dry skin in the winter time. These both are literally life/skin saviours for me!

And the products are SVR Xerial 30 Cream (Amazon, Amazon UK and Feel Unique) and Weleda Calendula soap (Amazon and Amazon UK)

Long time readers know that I have extremely dry skin but somehow I’ve never shared about the actual name of my condition.  I have a genetic skin disorder – ichthyosis. And often winter makes it unbearable.

But here are the products  my dermatologist recommended that make a huge difference:

The Soap. She warned me that it has a slightly unpleasant scent to some but I did not have any issues, and it’s totally fine for me. I really love the

Favourite Beauty Products Of 2012: Makeup

Before I start, I have to say that it was very hard to narrow my list  of favourite makeup products of 2012 but I’ve tried my best.

Let’s take a look at what I’ve chosen…

Face

Benefit Erase Paste

I don’t really use concealer on a daily basis, unless I have a new, really bad spot,  I just use Touche Eclat under my eyes and that’s all. But if I had to choose my favourite “concealer” type of product – that would be this one. It is a creamy peach corrector which works great for the  dark under eyes circles. I had a review of it but because of some tech problems, it was deleted, need to re-write it soon.

Omorovicza Complexion Perfector BB SPF 20

One of my favourite face products you can read the details why here. If you can afford it, I would definitely recommend.

Rouge Bunny Rouge Tinted Moisturiser Sketches on Water

This gives a very natural finish and light coverage and you can’t see it on the face, at all! Miracle for dry skin in cold weather, as it doesn’t enhance any dry patches.  See all the shade available here.

Daniel Sandler Invisible Radiance Foundation and Concealer

It is a very nice foundation that gives a dewy finish so works great for my dry skin. The shade Porcelain is a great fit for fair skin and works for me in AW, in SS, I use the second lightest shade – Beige. Plus it comes with concealer which is a great deal for the price. Want to know more?

BECCA Shimmering Skin Perfector in Pearl

This product probably doesn’t even need an introduction. It’s the best highlighter out there, it gives a  very natural and beautiful effect.

Cheeks

Wow, I was able to choose only three blushers, although I was very tempted to add more of them.

BECCA Cream Blush in Amaryllis

My favourite blush for AW months, perfect cool toned and natural looking, gives a nice

Birthday Outfit and Makeup

It was my Birthday this weekend so I’ve decided to share with you what I wore and what makeup I’ve used. I don’t see Birthdays as a big deal (after a certain age, ha!) but it is always cool to dress up and spend time with friends and family.

Of course, I went for red with a touch of black, outfit wise. And here is the makeup I’ve used:

Marina Makeup4all Birthday FOTD and OOTD

Face

Vichy BB Cream, I need to buy a full size of it soon, it is an amazing light  base which gives some luminosity.  Rouge Bunny Rouge  Naked Disguise Glide Concealer which is brilliant for the under eye area. Inglot HD Sculpting Powder in 504 is my favourite for that natural looking shadow and theBalm Mary-Lou Manizer for some glow.

Lips and Nails

Surprisingly I’ve used a very affordable trio: NYX  Soft Matte Lip Cream in Transylvania which I am obsessed with

Jessica Quick Dry 60 Second Drying Review

Recently I’ve posted about my new favourite red nail varnish and about my current favourite polish remover.

So today I would like to share about my other discovery which is “drying drops”. I have never tried them before but was curious to do so, so picked up a bottle of Jessica Quick Dry 60 Second Drying.

Pictured is also a repurchase of CND Solar Oil

And it is a really cool product.  It is basically a drying oil which you drop on your nails after applying a nail polish. It really speeds up the drying process which is absolutely incredible.

The product does not mess up the nail polish and is absolutely undetectable. So if you
