Crystal Glass Nail File. Rave

I’ve been wanting to try a crystal glass nail file for ages and finally I’ve got one last month. The ‘last drop’ was the advice from Helen from Just Nice Things in the latest edition of Makeup4all Magazine. I knew that I had to get it!

I did not want to get anything very expensive at first just to see how I would like it. So I’ve picked a  Bohemia nail file  with no crystals or prints.  I should have written down the price as I don’t remember how much I’ve got it for now. It was less than €10 I believe.

Here is how it looks like

I have been using it for less than a month but I am already converted. It is brilliant and is a pleasure to use, it files the nails so much faster and it’s easy to get the  exact shape you want. But at the same time it is gentle and not harsh at all.

In fact, I’ve asked some of my close friends to try it, and they were impressed, too.

It is said that crystal glass nail file, when used regularly, prevents the nails from chipping and splitting. I can’t wait to see if it is true. I’ve also read that crystal nail file fights skin infections as ‘glass does not attract bacteria like metal and paper. Sounds great, wonder if it’s true.

A good quality crystal glass nail file is almost impossible to wear off.  A lot of people recommended me a  Leigton Denny’s one,  which has a life time guarantee! I should probably get one soon.

The only thing I regret is that I did not get a crystal glass nail file sooner. Trust me, once you’ve tried it, most likely you will never want to use anything else. I am definitely getting these as a present for my Mum and some girlfriends. The cool thing is that you can get them in colour and with crystals, too.

have been using a glass file for years. Cannot really tell if it prevents from chipping, guess on my nails not. And it breaks easily if dropped, or if pressed in a make up bag

I really need to get one soon!

  4. I love my crystal nail files! I have a cheapy one and a Leighton Denny one. Both are fabulous. The one thing I don’t like about the LD one is the curved end. I find the pointed end like your Bohemia one and my cheapy one is really helpful to finish off filing my nails on the underside. The curved end makes it quite difficult.

Also, I’ve had a few from cheap brands and quite a lot of the time they’re very very rough so you have to be careful. One with a fine surface is far gentler but still extremely effective.

Just did my nails earlier with my crystal nail file and thought of u and your breaking incident!!! :/

Btw, I totally agree, my nails are prone to chipping and ever since I switched to a crystal file, the condition of my nails has definitely improved!!!
