Dior Addict Ultra Gloss Review and Lip Swatches

When I first heard that  Dior is going to create a new lip gloss I knew that it’s gonna be mine! So I was very happy when I finally got myself one.

There are 18 glosses divided into 3 different groups: Glow (subtle nudes with light shimmer), Pearl (mostly pink with more shimmer) and Flash (bright bold shades with lots of shimmer). Dior made a website dedicated to this gloss so you can read all the details there.

So far I’ve got only one gloss which is from a  “Glow group” and is called #236 Satin Peach. I always end up buying baby pink glosses so this time I “forced myself” to get something different.

This is how the gloss looks like – classic Dior design, very chic and elegant in my opinion, “straight from the runway” as it is stated. It is a flash-plumping lipgloss with a dazzling finish.

I really like how the gloss is described:

“Dior Addict Ultra Gloss features a featherweight formula with a flash-plumping, “spotlight shine” effect. Hyaluronic spheres keep lips smooth and moisturized, while mirror-like micropearls reflect light in all directions for a dazzling finish. The package is tall and sleek, with a Lucite top that mirrors the nano-spotlight effect. The precision brush applicator makes for effortless, perfect application every time.”

Why I love it so much.

To be honest I could not say it better myself! And this time I have to agree with everything that is written.

I really like the name “featherweight formula” because it perfectly describes this gloss. It is so light that you almost don’t feel it on the lips; it is not sticky at all, but yet the gloss is moisturizing.

It’s a pleasure to apply it because of the small brush which applies the gloss evenly  and it’s almost impossible to make a mess.

One more thing that I like is the effect that the gloss gives. It contains a lot of micro glitter particles which shine in the sun and make your lips look fuller and sexier. Maybe that sounds like a cliché but believe me this is the way it is, or at least I am lucky to see such effect on myself.

Dior Addict Ultra Gloss  doesn’t have any flavour and doesn’t smell to me.

If to talk about this particular shade( #236 Satin Peach) I like how it is described “sheer golden peach” and I agree with the description. This shade will look great on everyone because you can’t get wrong with sheer peach.

The Minus

Unfortunately,  there is one minus; the gloss doesn’t stay on for a long time so you have to re-apply it  pretty often.

Now I know why this gloss is called Addict, you may really get addicted to it. I would like to get 2 more glosses: 1 from Flash and 1 from Pearl.

I would recommend you to try this gloss because it is a perfect product for summer: light, non-sticky, shimmering, dazzling, moisturizing. What else do you need?!

Did you try this gloss? Which shade would you like to get?

What a pretty shade and the packaging looks very elegant. It’s a shame it doesn’t last long but then not many glosses do.

This is one case where the product actually lives up to the company’s description. I’ve been very happy with the three glosses that I’ve gotten: Satin Peach, Pink Negligee, and Twin Set. The colors are gorgeous and the formula does, indeed, make the lips look smoother and fuller. The wear time is no more nor no less than the typical gloss, but the look Dior achieves is well worth the reapplication effort.

  4. This seems like it would look great with all different types of eye looks. The Dior gloss formula is amazing, I only have one which was part of a holiday set, but it’s such a beautiful shade of pink. I love it 🙂
