Dolce & Gabbana The Eye Shadow in Stromboli Review, Photos, Swatches

Since we are talking about Dolce & Gabbana today, I thought I would share my impression about their eye shadow quad in Stromboli.

The eye shadows come in a signature gold D&G packaging.

There are four wearable shades in this quad. They are: beautiful true gold, reddish warm brown, caramel warm brown and black with tiny silver shimmer. You can’t really get wrong with these eye shadows and they are perfect for an every day look.

My favourite shade is probably the reddish brown as it looks beautiful on my eyes.

The texture of the eye shadows is soft and buttery, they are very pigmented and look great with just one layer. Dolce & Gabbana eye shadows are a pleasure to use, they go on smoothly, are easy to blend and stay on for hours without creasing or fading.

Here are the swatches in the natural light, one layer, no primer. I would say that gold looks a little bit brighter in life.

The same but with the flash.

This is the only quad that I have from the brand so I can’t say if they are all the same quality. But Stromboli is a great one!

Of course, you have to pay for the quality and for the name so these shadows don’t come cheap  – £36.50/ $59.  But if you want to treat yourself to something nice – this is a  great variant.

What are your favourite products from Dolce & Gabbana beauty?

I have and love this quad! The other quad I have is Mediterraneo which I love for day and have used it accordingly! Since I have had excellent experiences with quads, I’d love to get more.

I am not that familiar with this line but I have a mascara in Dahlia which is an eggplant color (LE) – unfortunately, it doesn’t show up on my dark lashes but the formula is very soft and doesn’t clump! I will likely go back for the mascara in black one day!

They like to push the powder foundation and while it is lovely, it doesn’t suit me as it sinks into my fine lines. I much prefer a liquid foundation.
