Elemis Papaya Enzyme Peel has been my exfoliator of choice for the last two years or more, so I am not sure why I never wrote about it.
This year Elemis actually celebrates 10th anniversary of this, already a cult product, and teamed up with British designer Laura Oakes to create this special edition tropical design. Elemis has also teamed up with SOCCO; for every product sold, Elemis will provide ‘5-in-1 Pentavalent vaccine to immunise a child in Africa agains 5 leading diseases.’
I was actually sent the product with a special edition design to show you, so here it is.
So how does it work?
Papaya Enzyme peel is a gentle exfoliator which you leave for 10-15 minutes and then clean with a warm water and a cloth. This is a great products for sensitive and mature skin as it doesn’t ‘scrub’ the skin.
After you wash it off, the skin may be a little bit red in several places(if it is sensitive as mine) but it will calm down and will be smooth, soft and bright afterwards. It gently cleanses and dissolves the dead cells, leaving the skin more radiant and perfectly ready for a moisturizer.
As I have a dry skin, I use mine once per week but you can use it twice per week if you have oilier skin type.
Here is the list of the ingredients:
Elemis Papaya Enzyme Peel is an award-winning products which is also a favourite of a lot of beauty insiders and I would totally recommend it, too. Plus you also support a great cause.
The price is £28.60 and it is out on the 1st of June.
By the way, I have also tried Elemis Skin Buff which feels like a sand paper on the face but leaves the skin incredibly smooth and soft afterwards. And I also plan to try their Gentle Rose Exfoliator in the future.
PS. The brand just launched the Best of British set which includes: Pro-Collagen Marine Cream, Melting Cleansing Gel (my review), Tranquil Touch Indulgent Bath Elixir (my review), Tranquil Touch Body Polish (my review) and Wild Lavender Hand Lotion.
I LOVE the packaging it comes with…
