I have written a preview of Max Factor Elixir Boutique some time ago and I was actually given both lipsticks and foundation to try. So today I want to tell you about the foundation.
Since I like Max Factor foundations and Second Skin is probably my favourite foundation ever, I was excited to try the newest addition to the range.
This foundation contains serum and is developed “to target the antiageing needs of women”. It should protect against signs of ageing such as skin discolouration and age spots over time, it also addresses the appearance of wrinkles and fine lines.
Since I don’t have any discolouration, age spots or fine lines, I can’t make any comments on that. But I can tell my impression about the foundation in general.
It comes in a light plastic bottle with a very convenient pump which makes the application easy. I personally absolutely love the scent of this foundation, it smells something fresh and fruity. But the scent disappears after some time so don’t worry if you are not a fan of scented foundations.
Ageless Elixir feels very nice and light on the skin which I love. It works great for dry/normal skin, I suffer from occasional flakiness and this foundation does not enhance that as some other products.
On me it stays on during the whole day and I don’t need any touch ups.
I haven’t used this product on anyone with oily/combination skin but I think that it will work better for dry/normal (and) mature skin type. After all it was formulated to “target the antiageing needs of women”. And older women usually have drier skin as we all know.
You can see me wearing this foundation here.
Serum’s moisturising skincare formula containing Glycerine, Niacinamide and N-Acetyl Glucosamine and an Anti-Oxidant package comprising Vitamin E, Allantoin, Panthenol and Green Tea.
Overall, I think it’s a great product and I enjoy wearing it.
The price is £12.99
