May 2013 Beauty Favourites
Can you believe that it’s almost Summer? It’s the last week of May, so it’s time for a monthly favourites feature.
And I want to start with beauty products:
1. SachaJuan Ocean Mist
I have bought the Ocean Mist from my wish list this month and am absolutely in love with it! It gives just the right amount of texture and volume without making the hair too crispy. Now I just need to get the Shine Serum, too.
2. Philip B Peppermint & Avocado Clarifying Shampoo
This product was also on my wish list and I am very happy with this purchase, as well. It smells absolutely divine, I am a huge fan of mint products for hair. I find that is leaves my scalp clean and “fresh” and the hair super shiny. I have got this in a kit and I’ve been loving all the products so far.
3. 111Skin Y Theorem Nac Y2 Facelift Repair Serum
This serum, which costs £190 was sent to me for the feature, and I was curious to see if it was worth the price. Unfortunately, for my wallet, it is absolutely fantastic. Definitely one of the best products I have ever used on my face! I’d say that the skin looks super soft, smooth and plump afterwards. I will definitely write about it in details in the future.
4. Clarins Gentle Exfoliator Brightening Toner
This is a gentle, yet effective exfoliating toner which helps to achieve a brighter and fresher complexion. I use mine two-three times per week. Review coming later.
5. Rouge Bunny Rouge Raven Glaze Lacquer Liner
I have been obsessed with this eye liner lately! It is definitely the makeup product of May. I have been wearing a “cat eye makeup” almost every day and Raven is super easy to use, even on my hooded eyes, le sigh. Read the full review with swatches.
6 YSL Touche Eclat
It’s a must have for me, as I love how it instantly brightens the under eye area. And, God knows, I needed that effect lately.
7 Clarins Instant Light Natural Lip Perfectors
Basically the only lip product I’ve been using on my lips this month. I still like the old shades a lot plus, since I have mini sized tubes, they are very travel-friendly. I “made” two of my friends get it this month actually. The swatches.
8 Trish McEvoy Golden Bronzer
It is a nicely milled, beautiful bronzer and I have been using it almost every day to warm up and contour my face. It doesn’t look orange or muddy. See the swatch.
9 Japonesque Travel Blush Brush 924
This is one of my favourite brushes among those that I have, the shape it perfect and it is super soft, too. A pleasure to use. See my other Japonesque face brushes.
I also have to mention JO Loves scents, as I’ve been wearing them almost on a daily basis and have already reviewed the Mango Collection.
