May 2014 Beauty Favourites
It’s time for May beauty favourites! It was very hard to narrow things down but I’ve managed to, almost.
This month I was away for two weeks (one week at one place, and then another one – different one), but I always had Elemis Skin Brush (review) with me, and I’ve used it religiously. I personally use it on the dry body, brushing towards the heart. The results are amazing, but you can read all the dets in my review linked above. I have two Elemis brushes, because I just had to! And I would definitely recommend you picking one up.
I did take a picture of only ten products on purpose, so that I don’t go on and on in this post. But I just have to mention this Rouge Bunny Rouge brush, it’s my staple now.
Dior Addict 561 Baby Rose Lipstick (review and lip swatches)
I’ve re-discovered and old favourite, this beautiful sheer sparkling baby pink is a perfect everyday shade for me. And how beautiful is the packaging.
NYX Taupe Blush Review (review and face swatches)
Nothing new here. I have a feeling that I will hit the pan soon. I love it so much that I am neglecting my blushes very often. And that says a lot.
Rouge Bunny Rouge Tinted Moisturiser Sketches on Water (review and swatches)
This is probably my all-time favourite base product, and I talk about it all the time. It evens out the skin tone but looks undetectable on, you get that “your-skin-but-better” effect.
Clarins HydraQuench Tinted Moisturizer
Yes, another tinted moisturizer. It is getting warmer, and I love using light base products that give a nice glow but don’t look greasy or feel heavy on. Tinted product from my favourite HydraQuench line? It is ah-mazing. Review coming up this week.
Clarins Be Long Mascara (review)
Ok now, that I’ve been using this mascara for long enough, I think the claims that the lashes get longer with time are true. I think I’m noticing some difference in mine. And I am still loving this mascara, and even recommended this to some of my friends, who are now fans, as well.
Shavata Double Ended Eyebrow Pencil (review and swatches)
Of course, I’d have to mention this little gem! This is basically good eye brows in a stick. Texture, colour and application – everything is spot-on.
Aromatherapy Associates Renewing Rose Hand Cream (review)
My favourite hand cream at the moment, makes the skin soft and moisturized instantly, and smells of roses.
Jo Malone Vitamin E Moisturising Day Crème SPF15 (review)
I’ve almost finished this cream, and it made me realize that I actually really like it. It makes the skin smooth and glowing. Yes, glowing! Plus, I find that it works great before applying the makeup.
The last thing that I want to mention is REN’s Omega 3 Night Repair Serum. But it is my all-time favourite. I am currently waiting for my second bottle to arrive. In my opinion, everyone should have it!
