January 2017 Beauty Favourites

It’s like only yesterday I was writing about my favourite makeup products of 2016, and today I am already sharing about the favourites of the first month of 2017. Where did time go?

And it feels like I am talking about the same things over, and over again but I do love those products. However, I did discover some new gems this month.

Beauty

REN  Rose O12 Moisture Defence Oil (from Cult Beauty, Feel UniqueLook Fantastic and  SEPHORA).

This is definitely my favourite oil of the moment, it works even for my extremely dry skin type, saves it from being flaky and itchy, and smells amazing.  Finally, a product I love as much, as my other REN Holy Grail.

J. R. Watkins Shea Butter Hand Cream (from Amazon)

My fried got this one in America, and she told me how this is a very rich and nourishing cream, and it is. While some people find such textures to be too much for their taste, I am a big fan, the cream leaves the  skin ridiculously soft and smooth. And smells of honey and coconuts.

Carmex Moisture Lip Balm (from Amazon)

Another present, this time from my lovely Farrah. This product does not need an introduction, it is a cult favourite for a reason. I personally love the

January 2018 Beauty Favourites

While I am still trying to figure out what were my absolutely favourite products of 2017, here is a feature on my January 2018 favourites, and since I have missed the November and December 2017, there are quite a few products.

Makeup

Lips: Lanolips Lip Ointment in  Dark Honey  (review and swatches) and Charlotte Tilbury Matte Revolution Lipstick in Love Liberty (Cult Beauty and Net A Porter.)

While the first product is a firm favourite which I have been using for years (they have a new packaging now) the CT lipstick is a new addition to the products I love. I actually created a Pinterest board about this lipstick for a competition when it just launched. This was a product from a friend who thought I’d like it, and she was right, it is incredible. Gorgeous colour, opaque and not flat, and comfortable but, at the same time, long-lasting formula.

For the eyes I have four products: Clarins Graphik Ink Liner (Selfridges,HarrodsEscentual.com,  Nordstorm,  Sephora, Bergdorf Goodman.) is  the best one I have used in a  very long time: it is intensely black and glossy, long-lasting, and very easy to use. A firm favourite, I highly recommend. As for the Max Factor 2000 Calorie Curl Addict  Mascara in Black Brown (Amazon and Amazon UK)  long time readers will know that MF are the only high street mascaras that I use, I am a mascara snob, because, unfortunately, cheap mascaras do not work for me. And I did not plan on getting a Brown version I just did not look properly in the shop. Can’t believe this happened again. But I am loving the softer version of the dark brown.

Estee Lauder Pure Color Envy  in 16 Vain Violet Brilliant (Net a PorterSaks, and Nordstrom.)

I barely ever use anything from EL but I am absolutely in love with this eye shadow which was a present from the same friend who gave me the lipstick. This shade goes really well with my other all time favourites, my little duo which is always with me, and I love pairing it with my beloved Inglot Eye Shadows AMC Shine 37 (here). The colour and the sparkling finish are just dreamy.

I also have two

My Favourite 17 Features of 2017

It feels as if I was writing about my  16 favourite features from 2016 only yesterday, and now it is time to look back at 2017. Although, I have to admit, that  2017 was not the most productive year website wise, there were still a lot of posts I loved putting together.

Once again, these are the articles I loved writing the most,  I will also put together a round up of the features that got the most views which will be interesting to see.

  1.  Makeup Trend: Eye Gloss (here). Probably my favourite feature of 2017.

2.  Exclusive Interview with Ellis Faas, Make-Up Artist (here).I feel so privileged to be able to talk with talented and creative people from the industry.

3. My Birthday Wish List (here). I do have most of the items from the list now. Being obsessed with the lists, it helped me to see on what items I actually needed/wanted. Should probably post one for this year as well.

4. Another interview. This time with  Adina from A England Nail Polish Brand (here). She is such a cool lady and her cat is just the cutest.

5. Daniel Sandler Watercolour Customisable Colour Set For Cheeks Review and Swatches (here).I love Daniel’s blushers and it was a pleasure writing about this set, besides, it is simply gorgeous.

6. I always try to write monthly beauty favourites, and in 2017 loved the

Lancome Makeup Collection for Summer 2017

Lisa Eldridge is doing a really great job at Lancome, have you noticed that lately their releases look more fun, and more creative? Also the products look more youthful, in a good way.

Here is a preview of the brand’s summer release. And just look at those face palettes *heart emoji*

Belle de Tint Mpsaic Palette ($45) is a blush and bronzer palette, it comes in two shades: 01 Patio Mediterraneen 2  PatioD’une Nuit D’ete.

Besides the gorgeous palettes, liquid eye shadows which are usually released for summer also look hot. Le Metalliuqe Liquid Eyeshadows ($29) are promised to be

November 2016 Beauty Favourites

First of all, how is it December already? I mean how is it the last month of 2016?! Are you excited for 2017? I know I am!

When I have gathered the beauty favourites to take a photo, I have realised that most of them are the same products I’ve featured in October so here are only the ones which I haven’t.

Before we start, I would like to mention some other things  I really loved in November which are beauty related, too.

Book – Branded Beauty by Mark Tungate (from Amazon and Amazon UK). I think everyone who is interested in beauty and brands should read it, the book is packed with interesting facts and quotes.  I personally really enjoyed the history of so many companies and the explanation about the marketing tips and tricks.

Mr. Selfridge TV Series.  (Amazon and Amazon UK). I’ve had this on my to-watch list for a long time already but gave it a go only last weekend, and it is great. I love how it shows the pre -WWI history of the legendary Selfridges.  Imagine that it was unthinkable to sell beauty products over the counter back in the days for obvious reasons, it is very well shown in Season 1 Episode 3.

Sparkles. I have to admit, I just have to have anything sparkling these days to brighten up the grey and dark November days, which feel like forever nights actually.

I also simply  have to include
