I have been shopping my stash lately, re-discovering a lot of amazing products that I have and have been experimenting with my makeup quite a lot, too.
I usually go for berry or cool toned shades but lately I have been going for coral/orange quite a lot actually.
Here are the products that I have used today…
I have started with a foundation that is a bit darker and warmer than my skin tone but still looks natural and gives a beautiful glowing finish – Daniel Sandler’s Invisible Radiance Foundation and Concealer in Beige.
The main thing about this look was the vibrant coral blush, Benefit ChaCha Tint which instantly brightened up everything. And since I kept the rest of makeup pretty much neutral – it was a great pop of colour.
I have used my trusted
I was away for ten days visiting my family and friends and I did not use Internet or my phone 95% of the time. It was the best decision ever, as I could truly enjoy the holidays and now I am back to work/blog/life well rested and motivated.
I was catching up on some blogs I follow and loved reading “The Best of 2012” features, I should definitely post it myself. But in the meanwhile, here are the makeup products I had with me, and some of them are my all time favourites actually.
Omorovicza Complexion Perfector BB SPF 20 which I took in a small pot helped my skin to look flawless, I’ve also had my trusted Touche Eclat by YSL with me, as well, as Jouer’s Age Repairing Concealer in 3 Cameo.
Sienna X’s Cream To Powder Bronzer & Illuminator is a product I haven’t featured before but I do like it a lot and will definitely post about it soon.
First of all, I had my Benefit’s eye brow pencil, as I am never without it. Anastasia’s Genius Top Coat and three of my all time favourite eye shadows: Rouge Bunny Rouge Long Lasting Eye Shadow in Bejewelled Skylark, Daniel Sandler Polychromatic Eyeshadow in Lava and
Here is a quick update about the content of the makeup bag that I carry with me. I am actually surprised that there are hardly any products and almost all are sample sized. I guess the only explanation is that it’s only Monday and I’ve ‘cleared out’ all the other products on the weekend.
I have two perfume samples: Illamasqua’s Freak which I adore and Guerlain’s La Petite Robe Noire which I am not yet sure about.
I mini size of one of my favourite lip products which is Clarins Instant Light Natural Lip Perfector in o1.
A very small size of Benefit’s High Beam, I actually have three different sizes which is very handy.
A sample of Chanel’s Sublime de Chanel mascara.
ArtDeco and Dita von Teese’s Eye Styler which I think is fantastic. I actually can’t believe how good it is. Will write a review soon.
Jouer Concealer no3 cameo. I usually have a Touche Eclat or Rouge Bunny Rouge one with me but this time decided to take this one.
Max Factor Miracle Touch Creamy Blush in 09 Soft Murano. This is such a high quality blush for a very affordable price. I recommend.
The makeup bag is from Elemis and I really like it!
It took me several months to form my opinion about the Hourglass Illusion Tinted Mositurizer. But I am finally ready to share my thoughts.
‘Illusion’ comes in a gorgeous shimmering golden bottle which is pretty heavy and looks properly luxurious which is always a bonus.
I have a shade called Ivory which is a second lightest shade which has a yellow under-tone to it. There are six shades in general and each retails for £45/ $55.
The brand promises a visibly tighten and lifted skin within an hour, intense moisturising and hydration (thanks to hyaluronic) which minimizes the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. This product is also water-resistant and free of oils, fragrance, paraben, gluten, sulfate and phtalate.
As you know, I love Hourglass so was hoping to love this product, too!
So here is my opinion…
Although I have the second lightest shade, it is a bit dark for my skin tone in winter and is a bit to yellow but I find that it adapts to the skin tone and you can’t see the difference in some time. That really impressed me.
It does feel
I am very sorry that there were no posts last week. There were some major problems with the server and I was away for several days so could not deal with that.
I actually did schedule the posts for the whole week but they all were erased. I will try to re-write them at some point…
There is so much I want to tell you about but I will start with showing you what makeup I took with me when I was away. I personally really love such posts so hope you will enjoy it, too.
I am actually VERY impressed with myself as I did not take a lot of unnecessary products and packed only the essentials. I wanted to have at least some variety but without taking too much.
Here is what I took with me:
1. Yves Saint Laurent Touche Eclat. I always have it with me!
2. Mini High Beam from Benefit. I really love miniatures for travelling.
3. I always try to take foundations in small pots and the bottle usually takes a lot of space. This is Daniel Sandler’s Invisible Radiance Foundation.
4.BECCA Compact Concealer in Latte. I actually can’t believe that haven’t writtena bout it yet. Will have to do it soon.
5. Daniel Sandler Watercolour Creme -Rouge Blusher in Hot Pink. My must-have, adore it!
7. Clarins Bronzing Duo SPF 15 Mineral Powder Compact in Light. It is from the summer 2012 collection. Will write about it later.
8. Clarins Beauty Flash Balm. One of my favourite products ever.
1. Benefit Stay Don’t Spray primer. Great product, will write about it later.
2. Inglot AMC
