Recipe Of The Month. May 2014: Pie with Spinach and Cottage Cheese
I’ve decided to make some changes, and add a Lifestyle section to Makeup4all. Don’t worry, the website won’t turn into daily snaps of kittens and my breakfast, everything will be in moderation. I will try to post something non-beauty related once a week. And I really hope that you will like it, as I do.
I love to cook, and try new recipes, that is why the first post will be about one of my favourite pies. It is with cottage cheese and spinach. I’ve already cooked it three times this month.
So here we go…
Unfortunately, I don’t have the exact measurements. That is because my friend, who shared this recipe with me, did not tell me any, as she uses the products based on the size of the pie she wants to cook. The same is valid for myself, I use as many ingredients, as I feel like that day.
- Dough, I usually just buy it, as it saves a lot of time.
- Cottage cheese, you can try goats cheese, if you prefer.
- Salt and pepper
Wash and cut the spinach, mix it with your cottage cheese and dill. Add some salt and pepper (of course, you can add any other spices or herbs you want, too). Put it on top of the dough which you’ve already prepared, make sure that it’s not too thin, or thick. Mix 2-3 spoons of sour-cream with 2 eggs (or more if you are making a big pie; make sure that you have enough to cover all the surface) and add it on top of everything. If you wish, you can add a little bit of cheese on top before the pie is almost ready.
I still haven’t figured the best temperature and time for the cooking, and I keep changing it all the time.
