September 2016 Beauty Favourites
Hello, October! It’s time for September favourites, and last month I’ve discovered some absolutely amazing products which I am excited to tell you about.
My favourite base combo in September (and not only in September): Clarins Instant Light Radiance Boosting Complexion Base in 01 Rose (review and swatches) and Clarins HydraQuench Tinted Moisturizer (review and swatches), decanted. I have written very detailed reviews about both products so you are welcome to take a look. But if I had to sum up – I’d say that both items work incredibly well to add that glow/sheen back in the skin. You look just fine when in reality you are ridiculously exhausted and can only dream about getting some sleep. I recommend for dry skin especially.
I really love my Inglot Sculpting HD Powder in 504 (review and swatches), as you can see from the photo above. It creates that perfect and natural shade. Works even on the pale complexions and doesn’t look muddy, the formula is soft and smooth, and blends easily.
If I had to choose only one favourite product this month – that’d have to be Clarins Palette 4 Couleurs in 04 Oud (as seen here). I was sent two palettes to share with you, and I am absolutely in love with one of them. I have been very impressed with Clarins eye shadows lately, and these are not an exception. Buttery texture, long-lasting formula and incredible shades. Stay tuned for a review and swatches.
In September I have been loving two mascaras: Clarins Mascara Supra Volume and YSL Faux Cils Effect Mascara (as seen here). YSL, the cult classic needs no introduction, it lives up to the name and creates the lashes to-die-for, thick, ulta-black and voluminous. You just can’t go wrong with it. Clarins mascara which launched only recently is also very good, not only it creates great volume without the clumps, it increases the volume of your lashes with regular use. And I did see the promised results with the preview Clarins Be Long mascara, so did my friend who lost almost all of her lashes due to health issues. So I am hoping for the results this time, as well.
I also have to mention a lot of different nail polishes, I loved experimenting with colours and shades this month, some of the ones I loved were: Max Factor Cerise (my all time favourite), Illamasqua Nomad, Essence Time For Romance. Right now I am wearing this one from Dior.
Skincare, Body Care, Perfume.
Somehow I haven’t written about any of the products above yet…
Vella Fresh Creamy Soap
Never thought I’d include a face soap in my favourites, but this lill’ gem from Korea is incredible. Not only it is gentle and non-drying but also is really affordable compared to my other cleansers.
Elemental Herbology Eye Elixir
Beautiful rich formula which moisturises and nourishes the under eye area without feeling greasy or oily, makes the skin look plump and helps to fake that well-rested young look.
Tromborg Aroma Therapy Body Oil Lavender and Rose Tree
This is a really luxurious product and it was a gift from one of my best friends, as it combines two scents I adore: lavender and rose. And it does smell as good as it sounds, the texture is lovely, too. I massage this oil after the shower/bath before going to bed.
CREED Aventus for Him Cologne
I haven’t tried the new For Her version which launched only recently but I am absolutely obsessed with this version. It smells divine on a men but I also love it on myself a lot, it lifts my mood, and I get a lot of compliments whenever I wear it, too. Top notes: blackcurrant, bergamot, apple and pineapple. Heart: rose, dry birch, Moroccan jasmine and patchouli. Base: oak moss, musk, ambergris, and vanilla
Oh, and Reese’s… I really need to stop eating so much sugar. And coffee. Yeah, right.August 2016 Beauty Favourites
