Nails of the Day: Illamasqua Nail Varnish in Viridian

Viridian nail varnish is one of the prettiest products from Illamasqua’s Art Of Darkness new collection.

It is describes as a  peacock green with metallic finish and I absolutely love this colour. It is so pretty that sometimes I just look at my nails to enjoy the shade, sounds crazy, I know.

This is how it looks like on the 3rd day, 2 coats

You get a nice effect with 1 coat already but 2 coats give a perfect opaque coverage.  It stays on for several days (at least for me) and I am happy with the quality of this product. By the way, if you want to see my favourite Illamasqua nail varnish on the nails – click here.

Anyway, this is my favourite green for this Fall so far! And you can see more green polishes here.

My friend told me that she likes the swatches of nail polishes and now she even wants some! So yes, Krista, this post is for you 😉

Illamasqua Art of Darkness Fall/Winter 2010 Collection

So the new Illamasqua collection with the stunning promo images is already available on-line. I’ve already made a preview of it by the way.

Deep in an enchanted forest, the scene is set for a sumptuous feast. The chosen have arrived. Where this night will end no one knows. Not even death is inevitable.

Lured by the promise of immortality, a host of fantastical beings try their hand at creating the ever-elusive Elixir of Life. The resulting potions dazzle the eye and ensnare the senses, a beautiful array of jewel-like substances. They may not deny mortality, but they do make the theatre of life a more colourful stage on which to play.

Wanton Woman

It’s a melting pot of individuals, where ideas are exchanged, and new ones created. A surreal gathering from which the guests might never awake. Which is why this night can never end, and the game must be played for eternity.

So take your place at the table and let the banquet begin.

A feast for the eyes, the Art of Darkness collection is a sumptuous selection of jewel-like shades for eyes, lips, nails and body. From ruby reds to sapphire blues and emerald greens, accompanied by antique golds, this mythical array of lavish tones is as intense as it is opulent. Indulge your extravagant side and revel in the otherworldliness of night-time make-up.

Illamasqua Art of Darkness Fall/Winter 2010 Collection Preview

I can’t wait to see the whole range of Illamasqua Fall/Winter collection. So far I know that there will be several new nail polishes, new lip products, new liquid metal palette (red, blue, green and yellow) and Precision Ink in Alchemy (gold) and Abyss (black) which you can already get for £16.50.

The collection is called Art of Darkness ( OMG, I LOVE the name). Illamasqua never dissapoints when it comes to visuals and the ideas behind the collections. I was extremely happy when I first heard about this brand and I love it even more today. It’s amazing to have an alternative beauty brand! And I personally would love to thank them for this.

This is what is written about the collection:
