Inglot Sculpting HD Powder in 504 Review. Rave

I am definitely not a fan of the crazy over-contouring but I love a natural looking product for some definition, and have been using NYX Taupe for years until I came  across Monika’s review of Inglot HD 504 sculpting powder. I had to get it.

Not only the shade is great but also the formula – it is not at all powdery but smooth and easy to use, it melds into the skin and last pretty well.

If you have a fair-to-light complexion and don’t want to spend a fortune on a contouring product  (this one is £10/$15)- try

My Current Favourite Cheek Products

Have you got colour in your cheeks? Yes, that is  Arctic Monkeys “Do I Wanna Know?” (listen )

This song actually inspired me to write about my current favourite cheek products. But, and this will be a shock for regular readers, I have been neglecting blushes lately.  Yes, really.

And here are the two products that I have been using religiously lately…

My Current Favourite Cheek Products NYX taupe and Trish McEvoy bronzer

TrishMcEvoy Golden Bronzer and NYX Blush in Taupe.

Trish’s bronzer is probably my favourite out of all that I own. It is not too dark, too orange/muddy/shimmery/you name it. It warms up the complexion, and adds just the right amount of glow thanks to the delicate shimmer. Golden Bronzer looks amazing even on my light skin tone. Moreover, it is very finely milled, so blends beautifully and looks natural. Brilliant product. Maybe this will be the first ever bronzer that I use up?

You can buy Trish McEvoy from SelfridgesNordstrom and Neiman Marcus.

May 2014 Beauty Favourites

It’s time  for May  beauty favourites! It was very hard to narrow things down but I’ve managed to, almost.

This month I was away for two weeks (one week at one place, and then another one – different one), but I always had Elemis Skin Brush (review) with me, and I’ve used it religiously.  I personally use it on the dry body, brushing towards the heart.  The results are amazing, but you can read all the dets in my review linked above. I have two Elemis brushes, because I just had to! And I would definitely recommend you picking one up.

shu uemura Eyelash Curlers (review). I use these curlers every single day without a fail. Without them, my makeup is just incomplete, and my lashes don’t look that nice. A must-have for everyone.

I did take a picture of only ten products on purpose, so that I don’t go on and on in this post. But I just have to mention this Rouge Bunny Rouge brush, it’s my staple now.

NYX Taupe Blush Review and Face Swatches. Rave

I’ve been wanting NYX  Taupe Blush  for ages, but bought it only this month. Mainly because it was almost always out of stock whenever I’ve planned  to get one, so I almost forgot that I wanted it…

But it is finally mine, and I am so happy about it! Now, that I finally have it, I understand why is it so hyped up, it never leaves my makeup bag!

NYX Taupe Blush Review and Swatches rave

This is definitely the best sculpting product out of those that I have. It is matte and cool-toned so fits my skin  perfectly.

I like the texture, it doesn’t feel too powdery and chalky and creates a natural looking shadow (the photo included). For the price, I can’t think of a better option.

By the way, here is a comparison with two popular &, I would even say cult, bronzers Benefit’s Hoola and Chanel’s Bronze Universel.
