It’s time for October Favourites. And I actually love writing about the products that I liked the most during the month, I love analysing and “documenting” my preferences, so that way I can keep a track of the products that stand out for me.
So here we go…
ArtDeco Cream Rouge For Cheeks and Lips in 17 Creamy Mauve (review & swatches)
You know me, and my love for cream blushers. This one is my latest discovery. I love the natural and dewy effect it gives. Plus it works amazingly both for cheeks and lips.
Chanel Le Volume de Chanel Mascara in 10 Noir (review)
One of the best mascaras I have ever used. Ultra black. Dramatic. Volume. Length. Holds curl. You have to try it!
Skin and Body Care
REN Rosa Centifolia No1 Purity Cleansing Balm (review)
Yes, I am including it in my monthly favourites yet again, as I love it that much. Mild but effective cleanser, which doesn’t strip the skin but leaves is smooth and soft.
Costes Soap Bar (review)
It isRead More
Today it’s time for part three of my 2012 beauty favourites and it’s all about body care and, I think, regular readers won’t be surprised by any of my picks. Especially considering that most of the products are from my favourite skincare brands.
For some reason in 2012 I’ve started using soaps instead of shower gels. Long gone are the days when soaps were harsh and drying, these days you can get some luxurious, creamy ones. I am absolutely in love with the set I’ve bought from Cowshed, would like to try other soaps the brand offers in the future.
Clarins Toning Body Polisher
Clarins have two body scrubs and I have written about both but my favourite has to be Toning Body Polisher (yellow one). Want to know why? Keep reading.
Clarins Extra-Firming Body Cream
2012 was the year ofRead More
Foot cream actually retails for £16 while this set is only £15 and you get this foot cream, two mini sized products ( Elemis Sp@Home Tranquil Touch Indulgent Bath Elixir 50ml and Elemis Sp@Home Tranquil Touch Creamy Body Wash 50ml) and a makeup bag.
I’ve had all the products previously and loved them so was excited to get the set! Click the links to read my detailed reviews.
I am a huge Elemis fan and would totallyRead More
I actually love seeing what products other people finished and what products they re-purchased (even more). So I thought I’d show you some of the products that I have finished.
Although I love trying new products very much, some I re-purchase, as I find them to be amazing. Unfortunately, I have already thrown away most of the packages but here is what is left.
Vichy Dercos Shampooing Treatment Oil Control
I actually really liked this for summer as it cleaned my hair nicely without stripping it. I would re-purchase but I have already ordered a Cowshed shampoo which I’ve wanted to try for a long time already.
Philip Kingsley Body Building Shampoo
Unfortunately, this shampoo did not work for me because my hair got greasy after about 1.5 days which was not good at all. I would try other shampoo from the range but would not get this one again. I am actually taking PK vitamins for hair for the second month already (the course is four months) and I think I can see some improvements already. But will update on that in September.
Two Elemis products
Elemis tranquil Touch Body Polish (review here)
I had to cut the packaging to get every single drop of this product. I have actually purchased the second tube already. Next time I plan to get their mint scrub as it’s the only scrub from the brand I haven’t tried yet. Their Exotic Lime and Ginger Salt Glow is brilliant, too.
Elemis Treat Your Feet Foot Cream (review here)
This has to be the best foot cream I have ever tried! It is very effective and the scent is to die for. Whenever I use it and someone is around, I always get asked about it. And, yes, I have ordered one more tube last week. I highlyRead More
I think, you’ve probably noticed that these days I am trying to tell you about some beauty products that I enjoy using in winter. So today I want to tell you about the foot creams that impressed me the most. I am also going to tell you which foot cream my lovely Grandma (70) rates!
First of all I have to let you know that my feet are very dry and always seem to be in a bad condition. I am not even sure about the reason of this but I must keep them moisturized all the time!
So the winners in the foot cream category (for me) would be Elemis Treat Your Feet Foot Cream(£16, 75ml) and L’Occitane Dry Skin Foot Cream(£7.50, 30 ml).
The L’Occitane one contains shea butter, lavender essential oil and arnica extract, which makes the skin softer and it works great for tired feet! The cream is rich but not greasy; it smells really nice, too.
The Elemis one is my favourite out of these two. It is a part ofRead More
