Favourite Makeup Products of 2018

As promised, here is a feature about my favourite makeup  of 2018. It was supposed to be makeup and beauty but I am already almost on 1200 words so had to divide the feature into 2 parts. I’ve chosen the products that I love and used the most hence some of them may look a bit grubby but it does show that they are true favourites.

And by the way, you can also check out my favourite products of 2017,  2016 and 2015

Base

Rouge Bunny Rouge SERENE LIGHT Skin Perfector  (here). This is a slightly tinted primer which leaves your skin glowing and luminous. For my very dry skin it is perfect. It is a primer so barely gives any coverage but is great for adding radiance and creating that “healthy” polished look. I have used it on my wedding day, and used it up completely. Absolutely incredible! Gets big thumbs up from me.

Chanel Les Beiges All-in-One Healthy Glow Fluid SPF15 ( £34 from Harrods and from Nordstrom).

The “foundation” I loved the most this year. A very light and moisturising one, feels light on the skin, and gives a light (to medium) coverage. According to Chanel, it contains  a hyaluronic acid derivative and  a complex of cotton flower and white rose plant cells.  It has a relatively strong scent but I personally like it. Another thing I love about it is a chic and minimalistic tube. And SPF 15, of course.

IT Cosmetics Bye Bye Under Eye Eye Lift In a Tube. Dual Ended  Full Coverage Anti-Aging Concealer and  Brightener (in Light). I am not sure if the name of this product could be even longer. (From Selfridges and Sephora)

Long time readers will know how  I like only very light textures under my eyes hence I am such a fan of Touche Eclat (I’ve used many many tubes) and this Rouge Bunny Rouge gem. The same goes with this product, I did not use the concealer side at all. However, the Illuminator is incredible, I have almost used it up. It does not enhance the fine lines,  while reflecting the light which brightens the under eye area. Just don’t expect it to cover the dark circles completely, it is not the task of this product. I wonder if this Illuminator is available individually. It seems like there is one with the same name ( It Cosmetics Bye Bye Under Eye Illumination Light).

4 theBalm Balm Desert (review).

I feel like the next two products do not need an introduction, as I’ve been  talking about them non stop.  I am determined to use this bronzer/blush until I am completely  done with it. It sculpts and gives colour at the same time.  You get definition and a healthy glow with Balm Desert. I also love the finish, it is not matte but not shimmery.  Everything about it is great, including the cute cardboard packaging.

5 Daniel Sandler Watercolour in Golden Glow (review).

It’s like a healthy post-holiday glow in a bottle.  A shimmery bronze which

Makeup4all Favourite Makeup Products of 2016

I really love reading (or watching) about people’s top favourite beauty products, as this is a great way to discover new gems. I have posted 15 favourite makeup products of 2015 so now it is time to post about my most loved makeup products in 2016.

Unfortunately, four  products (Dior lipstick , Illamasqua nail varnish,  Clarins bronzer and eye shadows) that I absolutely adored and used non-stop this year are no longer available so I will have to mention only those items that you can still get.

Complexion

Rouge Bunny Rouge Serene Light Skin Perfector

This was pretty much the only base product I have been using ever since I received it  several months ago. I still haven’t written a proper feature as I really wanted to give it a good test before that. The product definitely stands up to the “Skin Perfector” name, as it makes the complexion glow without looking too shiny or oily. I also rarely use anything on top since it is a bit tinted. Not that I have a perfect skin but this is enough for me, I only use concealer where needed.

Clarins HydraQuench Tinted Moisturizer (review and swatches)

This product does not need an introduction. I’ve completely used it up, hence I had to use a different Clarins product for the reference purpose. It is like a dry skin’s best friend, this tinted moisturizer never makes your skin look flaky and never accentuates the dry patches. Instead, the skin looks somehow “healthy” and radiant. Love!

Rouge Bunny Rouge Glide Concealer NAKED DISGUISE  (review and swatches)

Regular readers will probably know that I barely ever use concealer because I don’t really mind a bit of dark-ish circles, as horrible as it sounds. But I personally hate the perfectly concealed under-eye area on myself. I also almost never get spots, so no need for the concealer in any other places. However, I do really like this product, as it makes the under eye area look better but without making you look like a mannequin.

Inglot Sculpting HD Powder in 504 (review)

As you can see from the photo above, this product is very well loved. Perfect shade for  light cool-toned complexions, and the formula is incredibly soft and easy to blend, too.

Daniel Sandler Rose Glow and Golden Glow Watercolour Blushes  (review and swatches).

I have spoken about my love for the Daniel Sandler blushers numerous times but, I think, this year he really killed it. The  two newest shades are to die for, and although I haven’t been wearing blush that much in 2016, I’ve been reaching for these most of the times I have.  Watercolours give you the “blushing from within” kind of effect, a must try. If you are a bit scared of the liquid, which you shouldn’t be, Daniel also has cream blushes now.

Finished Makeup Products: Daniel Sandler, Clarins and L’Oreal

I rarely post beauty empties, as I don’t like gathering empty bottles and I do finish a lot of them, but it is different with makeup, I barely ever finish anything, so having three empties is a big deal. Plus I  really love all of them, so it was worth mentioning…

Daniel Sandler Invisible Radiance Foundation and Concealer (review)

This is the second foundation I have ever finished in my life. The first one was Max Factor’s Second Skin which was the best affordable foundation on the market, in my opinion (it is sadly discontinued). Invisible Radiance Foundation and Concealer is a great choice if you want  a medium, natural looking coverage and a beautiful glowing finish.

March 2015 Beauty Favourites

It’s time for March favourites! Can you believe that 1/3 of Spring is already behind?

Let’s start with makeup, this month I have a good mix of products price-wise, from affordable Rimmel and Max Factor, to a high-end Rouge Bunny Rouge and uber luxurious Omorovicza.

Bobbi Brown Natural Brow Shaper & Hair Touch Up in Slate (review)

This is still the only brow product that I use on a daily basis. It makes the brows look fuller, tints them and holds them in place. This is love.

Omorovicza Complexion Perfector BB SPF 20 (review and swatches)

This month I have re-discovered my love for this base. It is like a good looking skin in a bottle. The skin is glowing and radiant, and the  tone is evened out and perfected.  I have written a very detailed review in the past, so you are welcome to take a look.

Max Factor Creme Puff Blush in Alluring Rose (review and face swatches)

This is still my favourite blusher, just like last month. Alluring Rose is a gorgeous warm nude with a spot-on radiance effect. It lifts the face instantly, I’d recommend these blushes to everyone.

Best Beauty Products of 2014: Makeup. Face

It is the time when I  am telling you about my favourite products of the year. I did not pick a product in each category just for the sake of having one, but rather only those that really stood out for me.

The first part will be about makeup. Here we go…

Base:Clarins HydraQuench Tinted Moisturizer (review)

Although there were quite a few “foundations” I loved, this  tinted moisturizer was the base of 2014. It gives a natural and glowing light-t0-medium coverage, and leaves the skin looking beautiful.  HydraQuench is one of my favourite skincare ranges, and this TM is just as good, as everything else, works perfectly for my very dry, dehydrated and sensitive skin. I am very pleased that it never accentuated any dry patches I sometimes have.

Concealer: Clarins Instant Concealer (review)

Definitely the best concealer out there, covers the dark circles and brightens the under eye area, doesn’t get in the fine lines, stays on really well.

Powder: Rouge Bunny Rouge  Flawless Face Powder Precious Velvet (review)

I have to say that
