2015 So Far. Answering Some Beauty Questions.

My friend Paris B over at My Women Stuff  recently posted a chatty feature about the updates from 2015. Can you believe that half of the year is gone?!

In general, I have been very impressed with this year so far, despite it being a very hard time.  But at this point I can say that I have learned so much and achieved so many things that I’ve always wanted.  I have a lot of goals and plans for the next six months of 2015, as well. Plus, I’ve realized how blessed I am to have such amazing friends and family that are always there for me.

But, back to makeup, Paris listed some questions, so I thought why not answering them here:

Your favourite foundation?

Recently it was all about Clarins HydraQuench Tinted Moisturizer (review) and Peter Thomas Roth CC Cream Broad Spectrum SPF 30 Complexion Corrector (review) the first one is like skincare and foundation two-in-one, and the second one is  like SPF and foundation.  Both are perfect for summer, they feel light, non-heavy or greasy.

What sucky product have you used recently that we should all avoid?

Luckily, I haven’t used anything I disliked in quite some time.

Is there a skincare product you love love love?

I’d choose Ella Bache Vitamin Radiance Cream and Balance Me Radiance Rose Face Oil  – they

Best Beauty Products of 2014: Makeup. Eyes and Lips

Here is, as promised, the second part of my Favourite Beauty Products of 2014 features.

This time it’s all about the eyes & lips. Enjoy, and don’t forget to share yours.

Best Beauty Products of 2014 Makeup Clarins, RBR, theBalm, Lacnome, Max FactorEye Shadows Platte – theBalm Shady Lady Vol 2 (review)

I have re-discovered this beauty in summer, and  this was the palette I travelled with most of the times, amazing formulas, great colour selection, thin packaging and great mirror – what else do you need? theBalm eye shadows are among the best.

Mascara – Clarins Be Long (review)

I’ve managed to get lush looking lashes with Be Long, it separates perfectly, is never clumpy, and gives a nice , rather dramatic effect, if you use several coats. The brush, for me, is mess-free. I have recommended it to several friends, and they loved it, too.

Cream Eye Shadow – Max Factor Excess Shimmer Eye Shadows  (review)

Definitely one of the coolest eye shadows I’ve discovered  in ages.  Mousse-like texture that allows you to get a sheer   hint of shimmer, or layer it on for a more intense look. It is stunning both ways!

Lip Products Addict Tag

I don’t watch that many YouTube beauty videos, but there is one that I really liked, and that was Lip Products Addict Tag.  I thought I’d do my own version in form of a post. So here we go…

Lip Products Addict Tag dior rimmel artdeco givenchy clarins ellis faas NUXEFavourite Lip Balm/Treatment

My favourite lip treatment, sadly, has been discontinued, so the one that you can buy now has to be NUXE’s Reve de Miel. I am not very original here, but this thing is da bomb! It does everything you’d want a lip balm to do,  nourishes and moisturizes the lips; it’s a perfect overnight balm.

You can get if for  around £10  from Feel Unique and  Look Fantastic

Best Eye Catching Red

I do love a good red and have a lot in my rotation, but I’ve noticed that I get the most compliments whenever I wear Daniel Sandler’s Red Carpet Red. The name speaks for itself, no?  It’s a gorgeous and flattering red, I highly recommend.

You can buy it from Feel Unique for £13.25.

Best Luxury and Best Drugstore Lipstick

My  most-used luxury lipstick has to be Dior Addict, so I’ll include this

My Current Favourite Lipsticks

Since we are talking about new lip launches today, I thought I’d share about my current top 5 lipsticks in different colour families, from berry to pink; and from red  to coral.

I have stupidly forgot  to include my favourite current red in the photo (but you can see it here), which is Daniel Sandler’s Red Carpet Red (get it here for £13.25). The shade lives up to the name, whenever I wear it I get a lot of compliments, even from people that don’t like red lips in general. Yes, really. I think this is the best Daniel’s lip product, and I do have quite a few.

What about other four?

My Current Favourite Lipsticks Dior Givenchy Inglot BourjoisDior Addict 561  Baby Rose Lipstick (review and lip swatches)

I don’t really do nude, so this is my perfect everyday shade, a sheer baby pink with a beautiful delicate shimmer. Don’t worry, it’s nothing like those pearly shades from the past. I’ve been wearing it a lot lately, looks like I will have to re-purchase it soon.

Where to buy: from Selfridges for £24.

Ellis Faas Creamy Lips L101 Ellis Red Review and Swatches. Rave

When I’ve realized that I never did a proper feature about Ellis Faas Creamy Lips L101 Ellis Red, I knew that I had to change the situation as soon, as possible.

Ellis Faas Creamy Lips L101 Ellis Red Review and Swatches 2

This is such a great product and I don’t understand how could I miss the post about it. Not only it comes in an innovative and eye-catching signature Ellis Faas design but  the product inside is fantastic.

The formula is really lovely, it’s non-drying, feels comfortable on the lips, applies like a dream and stays on for a long time.  The finish it spot-on, too. It is not matte but not overly glossy or shiny, you get a beautiful satin finish. The colour payoff is excellent and you get a nice shade even with
