Peter Thomas Roth 24K Gold Pure Luxury Cleansing Butter Review

I love me a good balm cleanser, and this one is pretty cool. 24k Gold Pure Luxury Cleansing Butter may be the most beautiful cleanser I’ve ever used.

It is all about the gold: gold packaging and the gold coloured cleanser which is apparently infused with pure 24K gold, and it sparkles. Just take a look at it!

This is your typical balm cleanser which is  a solid-to-oil texture, it is a self-care ritual using this in the evenings, massaging the face and relaxing.  It smells nice but not too strong or overwhelming.  I know that a lot of people love their skincare to be fragrance free but I would never wan that.  For me it is not only about the formula and performance but also about the textures, scents and the sensations. As always, I have to say that I remove eye makeup separately but I did try it just for this review and it worked great.

Peter Thomas Roth is a fantastic range and this is not an exception, the cleansing butter is such a pleasure to use, as I’ve already said, and it leaves the skin so soft and

Darphin Aromatic Cleansing Balm with Rosewood Review

I’ve used up  Darphin Aromatic Cleansing Balm  till the very last drop, so it is about time I write about it.

This cleanser is a cult product in the industry, and rightly so. First of all, as the name suggests, it smells absolutely incredible, there is something soothing and relaxing about using it at the end of the day, it is like a well deserved “me time”. The scent is divine thanks to Marula Oil, Sage, Ylang Ylang and Rosewood Essential Oils. It is truly therapeutic, especially with our hectic schedules.

I also love the cleansing properties and how soft it makes my skin feel. While I never remove my eye makeup with this type of cleansers, I find that it does the job of

Cleansing Balms and Melting Cleansers Round-Up

I am a big fan of cleansing balms and melting cleansers mostly because they work great for my dry and sensitive skin, and  also because I love to massage my face while using a cleanser.

It all started with Elemis Melting Cleansing Gel (review) back in 2011, and I never looked back! Over the years I have now tried quite a few, so decided to make a lill’ round-up. Maybe, if you are looking for such kind of cleanser, this will be helpful.

Clinique Take The Day Off Cleansing Balm Review

I don’t really shop at Clinique a lot, so their  Take The day Off Cleansing Balm was a random purchase and I am very happy that I’ve bought it.

It is actually a very lovely product, as it gently removes all the makeup and impurities, without drying out the skin.

Clinique Take The day Off Cleansing Balm Review

I personally don’t find it oily or greasy and love the solid formula which  transforms into a silky balm on the skin.  I usually massage it for several minutes, while watching something. I find that I get the best results that way, facial massage is very effective indeed. This cleanser doesn’t dry out my skin, as I’ve already said, but leaves it smooth and soft.  Plus I find it pretty economical, as you don’t really need that much.

It does remove eye makeup, but I always use a separate make-up remover for

REN Rosa Centifolia No1 Purity Cleansing Balm Review. Rave

This is definitely one of the best cleansers I have ever tried! Why?

REN Rosa Centifolia No1 Purity Cleansing Balm Review

It’s simply brilliant and here are some of the main points:

  • The product has a luxurious balmy texture that I love massaging in, I love a proper relaxing [skincare] routine in the evenings. I find that it helps to relax and (almost) forget about the daily stresses.
  • Gently cleanses and leaves the skin feeling soft and  not tight at all. I have  a very dry skin and I don’t get that I-must-put-a-cream-on-immediately feeling.
  • Smells nice and  not overpowering. I even wish
