Favourite Beauty Products of 2010: Skincare

I’ve already written about my favourite makeup products and even nail polishes of 2010 but what about skincare you may ask? The brand of the year for me was definitely Elemis.  All the products that I’ve tried this year were nice and some were just amazing.

I ADORE the Exotic line for the body. The Salt Glow, Frangipani melt and the shower cream are just amazing = perfection. The body lotion (I have a travel size) is nice but it’s not my favourite.  The Milk Bath is divine, you can read about it here.

I dream about the perfume which smells like the moisture melt and I  was really hoping that the Exotic perfumes smell like it but unfortunately (for me) they don’t. But my Mama is crazy about this scent.

I’ve been also loving Elemis face care products. I already

Elemis Skin Nourishing Milk Bath Review. Love It

I like writing about the products that I really love. And today I am going to write about one of them. And I am talking about Elemis Skin Nourishing Milk Bath.

Now I just like how it is described:

“Highly acclaimed, this Luxury Milk Bath has a unique formula that captures the essence of Cleopatra’s ancient bathing ritual. Its milk protein base is rich in nourishing vitamins, amino acids and minerals. Elemis Skin Nourishing Milk Bath contains natural plant collagen from Oat Extract and Japanese Camellia Oil to feed the skin whilst keeping it soft and supple. Skin Nourishing Milk Bath is excellent for irritated, sensitive and excessively dry skin conditions.”

And now some of my thoughts:

I visit dermatologist quite often because I have very dry skin. I actually have to live near the sea all the time to have better skin but we will skip this part… So she recommended me to add milk and a spoon of olive oil in my bath to make  the condition of my skin a bit better. I say a bit because, unfortunately, there is nothing than can be done here, I’ve had this problem all my life.

I was very happy to discover this Milk Bath by Elemis which

And this is how it looks like inside and my thoughts.

I’ve been using these products for some time now and  I really like the condition of my skin. It’s a pleasure to use all the products and I am happy with the results. I won’t get into details because everyone has a different skin type and skin needs but here are just some general thougts:

Elemis Exotic Eau de Parfum Review

I totally love Elemis exotic line and my favourite products are : Exotic Frangipani Monoi Moisture Melt and Exotic Lime and Ginger Salt Glow. I’ve also tried Elemis Exotic Island Flower Body Balm and I think it’s a nice body lotion.

The newest product from Elemis Exotic line is their Exotic Eau de Parfum which is already available for £35.

This is what is written about it:

“Elemis Exotic is an intoxicating blend of warming and spicy Sri Lankan Cinnamon Bark, Pink Pepper and Clove Bud Oil from the Comores Isles that is chased beautifully by the floral heart of night time blooms of Ylang Ylang, fresh whiteness of Indian Jasmine Sambac and precious Tuberose. As the fragrance evolves, it deepens and darkens into the base notes, the notes that linger and are a fixative. The warm, woody fusion of Frankinscense, mysterious Somali Incense, centred with Cedarwood grown in the High Atlas Mountains of Morocco and finally the finishing touch of Sandalwood. A vital part of the Elemis Eau De Parfum Exotic experience is that it takes you on a journey via your senses. Close your eyes and in one deep, shoulder-loosening breath, a host of exotic notes transport you to a faraway place. The spiciness of the top note, floral of the heart note and the accord of that final warm experience, An extension of you.”

My thoughts

Elemis Exotic Lime and Ginger Salt Glow. Review and Photos

One more thing that I’ve been loving by Elemis besides their Exotic Frangipani Monoi Moisture Melt is the Exotic Lime and Ginger Salt Glow. This product won several awards and I’ve heard so many raves about it so today I will tell you my opinion.

So this is what is written about this product:

“The Exotic Lime and Ginger Salt Glow is the ultimate exfoliation ritual for smooth, glowing skin from top to toe. Invigorating Ginger stimulates the metabolism and tones the body, whilst Lime Peel cleanses and purifies the skin. Sea Salt exfoliates and remineralises, helping the skin to regain its health and softness.”

The key ingredients are:

  • Camellia
  • Ginger
  • Jojoba
  • Kukui
  • Lime Peel
  • Sea Salt

And this is why I like it and how it looks inside:
