If you are a regular reader, you know that I try to feature a lot of cleansing balms and melting cleansers. I find that these work the best for very dry and sensitive skin. And if you have a similar skin type – hopefully find those posts helpful. Here is the first round-up of such cleansers, and there will be a second one with time.
Today I want to share about the Balance Me Cleanse and Smooth Face Balm, which was featured in my February favourites. And it is definitely one of the best cleansers I have ever used.
Why is it so good?
Since it is oil based (camellia, kukui nut and rosehip oils with cocoa, mango and shea butters, English camomile and red mandarin essential oils) – it doesn’t leave the skin feeling dried out or tight and you don’t get that I-need-to-put-on-a-moisturizer-immediately feeling. In fact, it’s the opposite, the skin is nourished, moisturized, smooth and soft.
This cleanser contains
It’s been quite some time since I did the “empties” post last time. Since this weekend I was cleaning my bathroom, and found several empty bottles, I though I’d share with you. I usually throw those away immediately, but here are some that I’ve kept for the post 🙂
So, here we go…
A lot of Clarins, nothing new here. Clarins Extra-Comfort Toning Lotion for Dry and Sensitive Skin and Clarins Water Comfort One-Step Cleanser with Peach Essential Water are simply brilliant. Both products! One of the best toner, and a great morning cleanser when you don’t have time or don’t want to spend a lot of time massaging in your cleansing balm. I will definitely re-purchase both in the future.
The Double Serum doesn’t even need an introduction, it was probably the most talked about, multi-award winning, serum in the last two years. And rightly so, it is very good.
The best on-line shop to buy Clarins from is Escentuals.
Lately I’ve been obsessed with
I rarely post a preview about one product only, it’s usually about a collection or a bunch of similar products but Elemis Pro Radiance Illuminating Flash Balm deserves a post of its own. Elemis products never disappoint, especially their Pro-Radiance line, so this is why!
By the way, the products that don’t make it their way on Makeup4all I post on my Facebook page, so you are welcome to like it.
What is it?
“Hybrid Moisturiser” with instant action : Radiance Booster, Moisturizer, Primer.
What is promised?
“The texture is moreish and designed to be smoothed over the face with a swift touch, then left to do its good work. As you enjoy your revived complexion, the balm’s more
I have already posted about the bath and body oils that I love so now I want to show you the face oils that I like.
I love using the oils in the evening before the cream, massaging it in. These days a lot of brands make oil with high quality ingredients that don’t break you out but moisturise and nourish your skin.
Estelle & Thild Rose Otto Facial Oil Dry, Mature Skin (£45)
This is an organic skincare from Sweden which a loving mother created for her daughters ( hence the name). It smells nice, moisturises and nourishes the skin without leaving it oily or greasy. This brand actually just launched at Zuneta so you can check it out there.
I also have two Angela Langford oils (£22.55 each).
Repair & Renew – Q10 & Vitamin E Face Oil
This is the one that I use myself, I massage two-three drops in the evening on my cleansed face and I can definitely see the difference in the next morning. It makes the skin smooth and radiant, without clogging pores or leaving an oily residue.
