Since I have already posted about a vampy lipstick for the #LipstickWeek, it is now time for a red. Guerlain KissKiss Shaping Cream Lip Colour in Rouge Kiss 325. And I have to mention that I have a cute mini version.
Not everyone is a fan of matte and full on lipsticks, and if you are not and miss the good ol’ comfortable and creamy lipsticks – you should really consider this one. KissKiss has a soft and comfortable formula (say hello to mango butter and hyaluronic acid spheres) which glides on the lips and leaves that satin, almost-glossy finish. You can
Meteorites by Guerlain are already a cult product and don’t even need an introduction. In fact, this year Guerlain celebrate the 25th Birthday of their famous powders.
I was given the latest edition – MÉTÉORITES PERLES DU DRAGON (£37.50 / €48) from Guerlain’s Christmas collection to show you.
I really love the packaging, one of my favourite edition, you know how much I love black!
The shades are: “pale pink and beige to even out the complexion, white and gold to illuminate, plum and rosewood to brighten areas of shadow and erase fatigue.”
Meterorites give your skin a beautiful and healthy sheen, I have written about it here in details. Unfortunately, I don’t really have time to use them that often in the morning, as I am always in a hurry and this product should be used on a perfectly preped skin.
Here is how all the shades look like:
And here is every “pearl” separately. And, wow, I LOVE
If you want to wear berry or plum lipsticks but are afraid of an opaque colour, you may want to try Guerlain Shine Automatique (£24.50 / €33.55) in 760 Lou-Ling which is a part of the Christmas 2012 makeup collection.
This lipstick actually gets a lot of attention because of the design. When I was at one party my friend’s husband told me that his Mum (70+) used to have the same one (the same design, not shade, obviously) when he was a boy and how he was always curious about how it worked.
Although Lou-Ling is a plummy lipstick and gives a beautiful shade, it is not a full-on colour and is very wearable. It does not demand high maintenance and you can apply this lipstick on the go, without a brush or a lip pencil. Such shade really helps to freshen up the look, especially in the dull November weather.
I also like that this Lou-Ling has a subtle shimmer, nothing over the top.
It feels light and non-drying on the lips and doesn’t look horrible when starts fading away. This lipstick is also pretty long-lasting for such formula.
I am a huge fan of berry and plum nail polishes, especially for Autumn/Winter period, they look very sophisticated and chic. I have actually never tried Guerlain nail lacquers (£18 / €23) before, so was excited to start with Lou-Ling from their Christmas collection, as it is a beautiful shade.
It is a gorgeous glossy plum with very subtle micro shimmer which is only visible under the certain light or with a certain flash.
Lou-Ling has a nice formula which goes on smoothly and looks opaque with only one coat. But I do wear two coats on the picture above. The brush is thinner than I personally like but since it’s not very not long, it gives you a good control.
This is a wonderful classic nail colour, and I would definitely recommend it to everyone who loves luxury brands. It would make a great present, too.
It is my Birthday this Sunday so I though I’d get myself something nice. By something nice I usually mean luxury makeup.
I also wanted to try Shellac (better late than never right?) so I did get a manicure. A red one! I will write a post about it in 2 weeks. Now the only thing that is left – get my hair done but I can’t think of what I want. I don’t want any huge changes…
But back to the makeup. I wanted to get some Chanel and Guerlain but guess what? ALL products that I’ve wanted to get were out of stock!!! Unbelievable.
Most of all I wanted to get 2 shades from the Guerlain Spring range but the 2 shades that I wanted were sold out!
The shades are swatched in this order:
- 45 Orange Euphorique
- 24 Rouge
