What was the best about this summer? What are your plans for fall?

This summer was a strange one. The best things were that I took care of some problems and started something totally new!

I have a lot of plans for Fall 2009. But first of all I need a vacation and I will have one soon. Can’t wait!

Easy Instruction

Step 1

Check labels to make sure the sunglasses provide 100 percent UVA and UVB protection.

Step 2

Look for sunglasses that filter out at least some blue light, which can damage the retina and lead to macular degeneration (vision loss from degeneration in parts of the eye). To make sure, try wearing them outside; a blue sky should appear gray with these on. Also ask about polarization, a type of filtering that helps reduce glare.

Step 3

Choose a lens color based on your preferences and comfort level. Gray doesn’t affect color perception; orange-brown lenses are a good choice for those with macular degeneration, since they filter out UV and blue light rays for maximum retinal protection; green lenses distort color less than other shades, such as red or yellow.

Step 4

Opt for lightweight, plastic, shatterproof sunglasses if you’re going to be wearing them when playing sports.

Step 5

Purchase sun goggles for total protection of your eyes. These cover a large area and include side shields. As an added bonus, they also fit over prescription glasses.

Face

For Meester’s flawless skin, touch up your blemishes with Laura Mercier Secret Camouflage concealer and smooth Smashbox.Photo Finish primer over your face for a red carpet ready glow. Top off with L’Oreal Paris Bare Naturale gentle mineral blush in Sugar. Plum for a nice sheer-tint.

Eyes

Meester’s makeup artist gave her a smokey look with dark shadow on her eyelids and lighter shadow on the crease.Try Chantecaille Shine Eye Shadow Powder in Pyrite and Chantecaille Irridescent Eye Shade in Aqua. Apply the taupe to the crease and the blue to the lid, then apply M.A.C Eye Kohl eyeliner in Smolder to the inner lid and finish off with Dior DiorShow Mascara in Black, for that wide-eyed diva effect.

Lips

Sheer pinks work well with Meester’s colouring. Try Benefit Peace Love & Glossiness lip gloss set for that perfect sexy but subtle look!

Hair

We’re used to seeing her as Blair Waldorf, wearing headbands in Gossip Girl, but here Meesteris sporting a quick and easy up-do. To get the look that her hairstylist Charles Baker Strahan created,pull back blow-dried locks and pin up with several bobby pins. Finish the look by spraying with hairspray -try Kerastase Double Force hairspray with UV filters and fixing polymers.
