So here is the final review for the Illamasqua’s Generation Q makeup collection for AW 2012.
And now it’s time for the Precision Ink in Wisdom (£17) which is described as antiqued gold.
I actually already did a detailed review of the brand’s Precision Inks so I will not repeat myself as you can read the review here. But I’ll just say that I really love these. They are not hard to apply, even if you are not very experienced when it comes to liquid eye liner, have amazing pigmentation and colour pay off. Also the colours are original.
My favourite thing is that the liner stays glossy even when they are dry. By glossy I mean that the shade doesn’t look dull or
So here is the next product from Illamasqua’s Generation Q makeup collection, Powder Blusher in Allure.
I have already reviewed the lip gloss in Boost here.
Allure (£18) is described a dusky rose pink shimmer and here is how it looks like in the pan.
I am a huge fan of Illamasqua’s cream blushers so was expecting a lot from the powder one, as well, and it did deliver! It is very pigmented and a little goes a long way. But at the same time it blends into the skin beautifully and stays on nicely.
The colour is gorgeous and it is very wearable despite the shimmer, you can’t really see it on the face, it is delicate, definitely not a ‘disco ball’ effect.
Here is how it looks like on the skin. Heavily layered and
Today is the first day when you can preview Illamasqua’s Generation Q makeup collection on their website, so it’s a perfect day to review their Intense Lipgloss in Boost.
Illamasqua describe the colour as a blueberry violet and I think it’s a perfect description. It is a lilac with a blue iridescence. I personally find it wearable and very unique.
I also like the new design and the brush the gloss now comes with. The brush is amazing! I usually use a lip brush with opaque glosses for precise application and with this one I don’t need a brush as it does a great job.
Sometimes with opaque glosses, the colour does not spread evenly but this is not the case. Boost looks opaque and glossy with only one layer. The blue undertone adds something special to it.
The texture is
With every Illamasqua collection I think: ‘Now this is the best one so far’. But with every new collection they manage to create something even more brilliant, both campaign and product wise. I am always looking forward their new collections, especially those for AW as I love my dark and intense colours.
Here is a preview of their Generation Q AW 2012 makeup collection.
I received several products this week (and have already tried everything, of course, as I could not resist) so here is just a preview. Special thank you for the gorgeous extra decorations, it’s an eye candy, as usual!
The products I have are:
- Powder Blushers (£18) in Allure (dusky rose pink shimmer)
- Intense Lipglosses (£14) in
I am loving this new Illamasqua AW 2012 makeup collection called Generation Q with a beautiful lady Evelyn (72!) , gorgeous makeu-up artist Mairi (39), beautiful Patricia (55) , Ian (40) , Karen (40+), Amrit (21) and Georgia (22) on the promo photos.
Here are the promo images. Aren’t they beautiful?
‘Generation Q – is generation YOU! It’s what they tell you not to do; it’s what you see your true self through. It’s what is old and what is new. What you know and what you knew. It’s what you feel and what is true” Alex Box, Illamasqua Creative Director
I also love what Julian Kynaston, Illamasqua Founder said: “Illamasqua customers will not be told what to do and when to do it” .
I love Evelyn’s lips and Mairi’s eyes!
I really love Patricia’s lip colour and nail varnish
Ian looks cool with such makeup, contouring is nice.
Karen, who, in her own words ‘would NEVER EVER wear “natural” make-up.’
And here are Amrit and Georgia, beautiful young
