I have quite a few red lipsticks and I do love a good red! Today I want to show you one of my favourites.
Lancome’s L’Absolu Rouge (£21) in 160 Rouge Hypnose is simply perfection! This has to be my favourite lipstick that I’ve tried recently (apart from Lush, will tell you about it later).
I really love the design, in fact, I think this may be my favourite luxury lipstick design. It is very elegant and classic, the magnet on the cap is a great detail, too.
The texture and the shade are fantastic! L’Absolu Rouge is soft and smooth, applies like a dream and gives a beautiful colour pay-off.
Rouge Hypnose is not a very bright in-your-face-red and at the same time it is not a sheer, barely-there balmy red. This makes it a perfect lipstick both for day time and
I like all Rouge Bunny Rouge lip products but this one is probably my favourite one so far (besides the lip balm).
It is a Sheer Lipstick Succulence of Dew. The shade I have is called Tongue Tickles which is described as sheer, shiny pale carnation pink with a white shimmer.
I really like the light and hydrating formula which easily glides on and does not enhance dry patches one may have. It actually makes the lips look and feel softer and smoother as it contains Manoi butter, Hop Extract and Vitamin E.
This lipstick has a subtle but nice scent which I personally like. As the name suggests, Sheer Lipstick Succulence of Dew gives a beautiful sheer shiny coverage which is perfect for a
I have already written about the Lava eye shadow here, so now it’s time for this gorgeous red lipstick which is called Red Carpet.
I am a huge fan of matte lipsticks in general, so was excited about this one.
It applies smoothly, does not drag the skin and looks opaque with just one layer. With two you get an even more intense shades and it lasts for a longer time. This lipstick stays for hours and hours if you put on several thin layers.
Of course, don’t forget to prep your lips before applying Red Carpet, I’d suggest a lip scrub and a balm, as such red colour (and matte finish) demands perfect surface!
I would also recommend a red pencil with it if you are going for a define full-on look. You may also gently dab some product with your fingers for a stain effect. I have tried
ArtDeco is the brand of my teenage years and I still love it a lot. It is affordable, has a great selection and the German quality is superb. Even now, when I can afford more expensive brands, I do get some of their products from time to time.
I have been wearing these products for a week and do like them all but today I want to tell you about the lipstick. It is actually the best-selling item from the collection (I am not surprised).
The shade that I have is Dita Von Teese Art Couture Lipstick in 645 Demoiselle (£18.50).
I already have some red ArtDeco lipsticks from the same line (not the Dita ones) so I was nice to try a fuchsia one.
Although this lipstick is priced almost as some luxury lipsticks, it is worth it in my opinion. The design does look classy and chic. Definitely the kind of packaging I’d be proud to pull out of my makeup bag.
The lipstick itself is
Remember my post about the new Dior foundation, lipsticks and nail polishes? I actually have one of each and am ready to show you the lipstick today.
Here is how the package looks like.
The formula is very creamy and moisturizing, but feels light at the same time. It feels like a balm actually! Nude is the perfect name for this range: the texture is sheer but gives enough of colour which is also buildable. Dior Rouge gives a beautiful effect, nothing like those thick gloopy concealer-like lipsticks which I personally hate.
Here is how the
