Today is the first day when you can preview Illamasqua’s Generation Q makeup collection on their website, so it’s a perfect day to review their Intense Lipgloss in Boost.
Illamasqua describe the colour as a blueberry violet and I think it’s a perfect description. It is a lilac with a blue iridescence. I personally find it wearable and very unique.
I also like the new design and the brush the gloss now comes with. The brush is amazing! I usually use a lip brush with opaque glosses for precise application and with this one I don’t need a brush as it does a great job.
Sometimes with opaque glosses, the colour does not spread evenly but this is not the case. Boost looks opaque and glossy with only one layer. The blue undertone adds something special to it.
The texture is
As promised here are my thoughts about the new Daniel Sandler’s Lipshines in Buff and Tangerine which are out this summer and are limited edition.
They come in a signature DS Cosmetics packaging which looks very chic to me. Both shades are beautiful:
Tangerine is a bright vibrant but very wearable hot orange with a sheer glossy texture. Although I personally love hot pink more than hot orange on myself, I wore this shade every single day during my holiday and I still wear it a lot as it looks perfect on slightly tanned skin.
Buff is a metallic beige shade with a complex shimmer. You can wear it rather opaque and metallic or blot it down, as I do, to a beautiful sheer effect. I think a lot of ladies will love such colour. Lipshines feel nice on the lips, non-drying and even moisturizing, I would say. You basically get a
Rouge Bunny Rouge Colour Burst Lipstick Hues of Enchantment in Scrumptiously Devious Review and Lip Swatches
Rouge Bunny Rouge Colour Burst Lipstick Hues of Enchantment comes in a beautiful black and white classic design.
The shade that I have is called Scrumptiously Devious and I’d say that it is very unique. It is a pinkish lavender with warm golden/peachy sheen to it. Or this is how I see it at least… (Actually Zuneta discribes it very similar). This shade is really wearable and would suit a lot of women. However, I personally like it much better on my slightly tanned/warmer skin.
On the lips it feels very comfortable, light and non-drying. It glides on easily and gives a beautiful polished sheen. You could built up the colour or blot it with your fingers to leave just a hint of colour as I love it myself.
Believe it or not, but I do think that it leaves my lips soft and hydrated. But please keep in mind that mine are in a good condition (at least now) to begin with.
RBR say that this lipstick is enriched with Vitamin E, botanicals such as Orchid Flower Extract, Meadowfoam, Manoi Butter or Inca Inchi Oil depending on the finish of the lipstick.

Clarins Colour Quench Lip Balms are some of my favourites and I have almost finished the two shades that I have.
I’ve actually got two summer 2012 shades from the brand to show you. These are Jaipur and Delhi.
I would describe Jaipur as a bright pinkish coral and Jaipur as a brownish nude, both shades have gold shimmer which looks beautiful in the sunshine.
These products are very well pigmented as for the balms. Plus, being the balms, they are moisturizing and feel amazing on the lips, I can’t think of a gloss that feels the same way. Colour Quench Lip Balms have a pretty thick texture and some may find them a bit sticky but I, as you may remember,
I have already written about the Rouge Bunny Rouge Gleaming Temptations lip gloss but they also have Glassy Gloss lip gloss which comes in six shades.
I’ve got one shade as a Christmas present from Zuneta and RBR. (Thank you!)
The shade that I have is called Jungle Fudge (£22) and is described as cushiony-soft semi-sheer metallic finish cool copper, with a glint of silver pearls. And it’s a perfect description.
I personally would probably never get such shade for myself so that is cool to try something different!
I find the Glassy Gloss moisturizing, hydrating and nourishing, it looks nice even on the dry lips and definitely makes them feel better. It is rather thick, which I personally love a lot, but not sticky. The product has a decent staying power. Jungle Fudge has a fruity scent which makes me think of mango.
