As you know by now, lipsticks with sheer coverage are huge for SS2011, you can get one pretty much from every high end brand: Chanel, Dior, Lancome, Yves Saint Laurent and others. But what if you can’t afford getting all those lipsticks but want to get a balm/gel like lipstick, too?!
I’ve found a great variant – Max Factor Xperience Boutique Sheer Gloss Balm( £7.99). Which are described as “sheer colour of a gloss, combined with the soft feel of a balm.”
These come in 3 shades: Coral, Pink Oys Shell and Pink Opal. And I was given 2 shades to try and, as I liked them a lot – I want to share with you.
First of all I have to say that I like the design and the fact that it’s a slim lipstick as I love slim lipsticks, they always look chic and elegant to me. It is easy to apply the product as it glides on and leaves the lips moisturized and shiny.
I love both shades which I have, 02 Coral is a light shimmering pink which is just my kind of colour, it gives a sheer coverage and you can apply it on the go without a mirror as it is very subtle.
As for the 07 Pink Oys Shell, it is a warm
The Toxic Nature Lipstick in Atomic (£15.50) which is described as a fuchsia violet.
And oh my goodness, I absolutely loved this lipstick. I have one more lipstick by Illamasqua which is gorgeous but is a bit drying and you should really have your lips in perfect condition to wear it.
However, this one is different, I don’t find it drying and I don’t find it enhancing all the dry areas so much although I must say that my lips are in a great condition which is hard to believe (thanks to this lip balm).
It also stays on for
Just when I saw these new No7 lipsticks I knew that they would be mine, so I had to get both Grace and Brigitte.
This is how the package looks like, gorgeous, right?
The lipsticks feel great on the lips, they have a light formula which is perfect for Spring. They also stay on for a several hours for me and I don’t find them drying. Both colours are gorgeous, but if Grace is very easy to wear, Brigitte is definitely not for everyone.
Here are the swatches of Grace and Brigitte which I’ve compared to the similar lipsticks from the same price tag which I had around.
So the lipsticks are Grace, Brigitte,
It’s not a secret that I don’t really do nude lips. I don’t like nude lips on myself plus most of the shades don’t look flattering on me, I look really washed out.
I am sure I could find a perfect nude but I can’t say that I was searching for one. But today I am going to show you the nude that I absolutely love!
I am talking about BECCA’s Sheer Tint Lip Colour in Yasmina.
It is described as a sheer mauve nude and is priced at £22/€28/$24 (yeah, as usual everything is so expensive in the EU).
First of all I have to say that I really like the simple and elegant design of this lipstick which is a purse-friendly! It “twists and locks” so it doesn’t open in your bag. I should have read that before I got angry, I was blaming the hand cream that I’ve just applied in the fact that I couldn’t open the tube. lol I should have just twisted it instead of pulling…
The lipstick itself gives a very beautiful light coverage, and as the name suggests it reminds me of a tint. It gives enough of colour but doesn’t feel heavy. The texture is lovely and it
I’ve wanted to get this Sleek Cream Lip Paint from Inglot every time I had an opportunity to visit Inglot but it was sold out every time. I was told that this is one of the best sellers and that everyone wants one so this made me even more curious.
I’ve got mine last month at last, I’ve got a pale pink shade #97.
This is how the package looks like and I really like the simple, yet elegant design.
This is how it looks like swatches on my hand. I understand why it is called Cream/Lip Paint – the texture really reminds me of cream. It easily glides on the lips and gives a nice coverage, the shade is buildable. It is quite sheer when you use only one layer but you can get an absolutely opaque shade.
It has a really interesting scent and I am not sure if I like it or not so I’ve asked some of my friends to tell their opinion. As the result: some loved it, some – not really.
This is how it looks like on my lips
